This is exactly why Wesley Clark is being talked up as a Presidential candidate. Not to be President (at least not now) but to be Hillarys running mate. Think about it. He was #1 in his class at West Point and was a Rhodes scholar. He is from Arkansas (thus a southerner). A retired 4 star general and former head of NATA. Close friend of the Clintons. On paper he is everything Hillary and the Dems are not. To the Dems he would be a perfect VP for Hillary because he is strong where she is weak. If Hillary does not run in 04 and Dean gets the nomination then Clark would be perfect for VP for all the same reasons. The Dems are perceived by the general public as weak on defense. Thus having a retired general as a VP would be a perfect balance to the ticket particulary to liberals like Dean or Hillary. Plus if Dean is the nominee the Clintons would have one of their own as the VP and thus would still have a voice in things. It is so obvious that I cannot believe I did not think about it before.

I think Wesley Clark has long since squandered most of the inherent goodwill the electorate would otherwise accord him for his resume. He's now known more as an out-of-touch, hard-left has-been than anything else. All we'd have to do is play back tapes of his dozens upon dozens of proven-false "quagmire" accusations her made on CNN during the War in Iraq to show that his reputation is in tatters.

Why do you and everyone seem to forget that Bill Clinton FIRED Wesley Clark? They are NOT friends any longer.

Exactly. Everyone else is in denial. This is the plan. Wesley Clark is the Clinton's Frankenstein. They created him. They promoted him on an unprecedented scale. He did great evil for them in Waco and Serbia, remained loyal, and told no tales, like Harold Ickes, who we now see again as central to this effort. Clark's swift move up the ladder is evidence of reward for keeping secrets. He is a ruthless, psychologically unstable man with extreme delusions of grandeur and a disturbing ease with brutality (Waco, Serbian civilians). But the public is not generally aware of this and thus fits the bill as an ideal counterpoint to Hillary.

The bluster on this forum is naive. They will make a formidable pair.
