Not really. Nor do we think Republicans Tom McClintock and Peter Ueberroth should get out of the race. At least not yet.
Well, maybe Mr. Ueberroth should. His blandness and lack of energy will not do.
The Democrats already have their Gray candidate. What's more, Mr. Ueberroth doesn't seem to be much more specific than Arnold Schwarzenegger, the frontrunner among Republicans currently in the race. But, then again, Mr. Ueberroth's nonpartisan pitch overrides his token Republicanism. For example, he's the only Republican in the race to oppose Proposition 187, the 1994 initiative barring state benefits to illegal aliens. Does this country-club Republican think he'll get Latino voters away from Democratic Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante? Indeed, in this crazy election, Mr. Ueberroth could end up with more Democrats and independent voters than Republicans.

>> "When he started, Mr. Schwarzenegger boldly said he would bankroll his campaign. Now, he's accepting campaign money. We don't have a problem with that. It's the contradiction that is both foolish and not admirable."
Arnold did announce at the beginning he would not accept PAC money! He would not be beholden to special interests! No, that's similar to what he said recently. At the beginning (Aug. 7th), he said,
"As you know, I don't need to take any money from anybody. I have plenty of money myself."

Outsider Mr. Schwarzenegger depends substantially on Sacramento insiders from Pete Wilson Inc. He also pledges to clean up Sacramento. But one of the state's biggest scandals involved insurance companies that failed to pay legitimate earthquake claims. They gave hush money to Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush, who resigned in disgrace. And, you guessed it, Mr. Schwarzenegger hired the culprits. Could somebody please explain this paragraph? "the culprits" seem to refer to the insurance companies. How does Schwarzenegger hire the companies?

It will be proven when Bustamente wins and the difference in victory is the total for McClintock.

When he started, Mr. Schwarzenegger boldly said he would bankroll his campaign. Now, he's accepting campaign money. An unsourced, undocumented allegation. Bustamante's Angels will have to do better than this to cut into Arnold's 45 percent.
You call the California Secretary of State's website an "unsourced, undocumented allegation"?? Bwahaha..... you Ahnold Poll Jockeys are amazing...

Well, if enough of you sit out or vote for McClintock you can all get together under the new Cruz administration and have one great big pity party...but please, don't hold it on FR.
The situation in California isn't quite as simple as many in the "a vote for Tom is a vote for Cruz" camp would like to believe.
Arnold said yesterday on Hannity that the Illegals who are already here should stay.
"Now we have to move forward with the whole thing and to look at it, what we're going to do with all the people that are undocumented immigrants here in this state. What should we do? Should we have them to stay here, which I think is the right way to do, but how do you then include them in our society, how do you make it official, how do you make it legal?"
LINK
Despite the subsequent spinning of Schwarzenegger's campaign, you know the RNC's code words as well as I do, and you know that Arnold is parroting the Bush-Rove line on Amnesty.
If Arnold wins the election under those circumstances, Bush gets his Amnesty green light.
A voted for Arnold is a vote for GOP-sponsored Amnesty for Illegals.

They're worried about McClintock, that's why they're suckering the RINO's into voting for (R)nold.

Funny, I thought we were all conservatives as well.A vote for McClintock is a vote to make sure there won't be a conservative idea implemented into law in Sacramento for the foreseeable future.

You call the California Secretary of State's website an "unsourced, undocumented allegation"?? And where was the link in the original story? I stand by "unsourced and undocumented" in the original story.
Bwahaha..... you Ahnold Poll Jockeys are amazing.
I find it even more amazing that some so-called "conservatives" such as yourself could be having purse-swinging catfights with others for the right to firmly implant your nose in Mister Four Percent's back passage.
