The votes will stay with Schwarzeneggar or move to McClintock. Bustamante is stuck at 29% or so. Speaking of midwest states, see Minnesota in 1998.

If you get tired of "country club Republican" then try something more descriptive. Try RINO. Or, warlord. Or, patronage boss. Or, money grubbing extortionist.

You appear to believe it's all settled.Well, I just think that so far any "revelations" are nothing but on the record interviews.
I know that the possibility of his seeking office is something that's been talked about for a couple years and that some high up Republicans have supported this move. I would think they would know about any purported rumors that evidently some freepers seem aware of and that they must have concluded there is nothing there or they wouldn't be so enthusiastically endorsing him.
Naturally I could be wrong, but just guessing that's the case.

You're right, it was an excellent example in Minnesota in 1998. In Minnesota five years ago, the race was between Jesse the Body Ventura and now Senator Norm Coleman and the Democrat came in third --but the wrong candidate won. This time, it's between Schwarzenegger and McClintock and the Democrat will not gain enough votes to better the victor between those two. Then, choose the better candidate between those two, for pity sake!
California, please learn your lesson, before you secure an entrenched, corrupt, top-down set of RINO power brokers that as in Illinois and New York, just paves a more winding "road to Hell."

Some high up Republicans supported Dick Riordan. How smart were they?
I don't trust the RNC elites, or the country club leadership. They didn't want this recall, it came from the grass roots. Now we're being told that what appears to be their boy Arnold is the only hope of winning this thing for the GOP? Bah.
I'll probably make up my mind on election day, but I'll need to hear something very forceful from Schwarzenegger on Illegals before I could consider voting for him.
Frankly, I need to know that he's willing to be honest about the issue, and butt heads with President Bush to do it.

You should know very well this is not anything about being Jewish or antisemitism. Names of RINO bosses in Illinois have been Richard Ogilvie, Jim Thompson, Jim Edgar, George Ryan, Lee Daniels, and Tom Cross. If you see a clique of Jews there, please write a letter about it to a psychologist. (And if you like playing some kind of "racist" card, you can get some more pointers from another "Illinoisan," Jesse Jackson.)
