I think the point these froth-at-the-mouth mclintites miss is we all support conservative values and candidates that represent them. The problem is...getting someone like that elected in far-left California is next to impossible. But you can't explain even the obvious to someone who refuses to listen.

Arnold is not a conservative, so why should a conservative vote for him? Just because he has an R after his name?

Tom has a clear, accurate, useful plan for california. He has true conservative priniciples. If all true conservatives got behind Tom, he'd have a chance. Instead, everyone's willing to elect a RINO. Arnold will be bad for california, and I dont want someone who is touted as a conservative or a republican (and who clearly isn't) ruining the reputation of conservatism. This is the time to stay true to the principles of conservatism, not to seek a false victory.

That Jim Robinson is obviously the TRUE Republican-In-Name Only type who's working to Bustamante elected. He actually perfers Arzlan to the kick-ass Reaganesque Gubernator! We all know REAL Republicans support candidates who are rapidly pro-abortion, anti-gun, lotsa gay adoptions/marriage, and will raise taxes sky high. It's OKAY becauese they have a R next to their name and can win! In fact, ONLY Republicans who support the same agenda as Davis can win!!! That's why you HAVE to elect liberals. On the plus side, the Gubernator will ENSURE Bush sweeps California in 2004 (FORGET THAT I JUST SAID "only RINOs can win"...because we need an excuse here) and also, he'll bring back the buisnesses 300%!!! Assume that Bustamante does not resign. It is in the power of the new Governor to assign him an office in the men's john with no phone and no fax.

Already happened to Bustamate... Davis took away all of his parking spots. Beyond that, there isn't much else he can do. The Lt. Governor is a constitutional officer and his office budget is set by the legislature, not the governor.

I have challenged people several times to describe how they would be affected by allowing Kalifornia to descend into bankruptcy. I haven't seen a description yet which would lead me to vote for an anti-gun "Republican".

If the Republicans in the legislature hold firm, there will be no new taxes.

If the budget is not cut to match existing revenues, then the state will default on its payments to somebody. If it is teachers who don't get paid, then the students may get a year off. If it is the California Highway Patrol, then speeders will go unpunished. If it is the California Coastal Commision, then landowners may find themselves free to make use of their coastal properties.

Please tell me what you fear from a Kalifornia meltdown. I may live here, but the state of Kalifornia does not make my house payments or feed my family.

All of the things that might come to pass are exactly what is needed to wise up a lot of people, like Arnold, who believes that there is no limit to what the state must do "for the children".
