It's GOT to be wrong. Arnold is easily at 97-98% because everyone loves him.
No one likes Cruz (except for McClintock supporters) and those nasty McClintock people are about 1-2%.
We here at FR worship the ground that liberal Arnold walks on.

Wow. The only thing that's clear is that the polls are all over the place.
I think the most accurate poll is one heavily emphasizing LIKELY VOTERS (perhaps only those who have voted in the last two major elections in CA -- 2000 and 2002.) Plus, I think the best methodology at this point is an "unaided" ballot, where the poll taker does NOT mention candidate names. After all, everyone who goes to the polling place will see 100+ candidates so it's not the usual <10 list of candidates.
I would expect in an "unaided" ballot with only voters who have voted in each of the past two major statewide elections, you'd see Arnold with a significant lead over Bustamante, with McClintock registering in Ueberroth-land. It would be a lead that could be taken away with a strong Bustamante push with adverts and with union GOTV efforts.
Before the McClintock army jumps on my post, let me say that I really think highly of the guy, and if he's leading Schwarzenegger in credible polls near the election, I will vote for him.

For awhile it seemed there weren't very many polls. Now they are coming out all over the range of possible outcomes.
All the polls to date have two consistent findings:
The number is for Bustamante falls between about 25% and 35%.
McClintock polls no higher than 3rd place and is below 20%.

Damn...... Some have dropped points since the Simon Poll was released..... hmmmmmmm.
Polls all over the place.... Some want to believe a CBS poll, others bash an ABC poll.... fun to watch.

Well, perhaps I've been wrong. It certainly looks good for Arnold. Then again, it's also definitely an outlier, but none of the polls seem very consistent in this race.
To: Stars N Stripes
I can't find this poll anywhere. Not even on the abc news website. Have you seen it posted?
To: Stars N Stripes
I hope this poll (plus details) will be published soon. Did Dreier say when he thinks that would be?

The only poll I want to see is the one after the debates, and that is election day. Hopefully by then Arnold will be such a laughingstock, that he will have dropped out, giving McClintock an easy victory.

AS - 45%
Busta - 29
Mclnt - 11%
Well, if we could persuade all the Busta and McInt voters to switch, we could give Ahnold a run for his Kennedy money and maybe end up with some real busta montes in Sacramento!

This reminds me of the Anti-Nuc Proposition floated in California in the 70's. All the polls, TV talking heads and talk shows made it very clear that the proposition was going to pass by a landslide.
It got less than than 20% of the vote.
To: Stars N Stripes
Can anyone link me to the full poll data statement? The one with all the propeller-head stuff about sample size, methodology, etc., etc. This could be a very small poll size, or an internal (which is often a push-) poll, etc. Just curious. Anyone? Bueller?

What I cannot comprehend is who on earth is giving $300,000 to Peter Ueberroth?
To: Stars N Stripes
Don't worry. The LA times will show Bustamove or whatever his name is at 95% to Ahnold's 16 next week.
