So your a busta supporter eh? You think that some higher purpose would be served with busta as the next governor? Maybe voters would see the error of their ways and elect a "true" conservative in 2006? Is that you opinion?

This reminds me of the Anti-Nuc Proposition floated in California in the 70's. All the polls, TV talking heads and talk shows made it very clear that the proposition was going to pass by a landslide.

It got less than than 20% of the vote.

What I don't get is what benefit an Arnold victory brings.

Where to begin:

The grown-ups will have a plan for improving the states finances. And IF these numbers are to be believed, and Arnold wins by near 50%, he will be able to go to the people to get his policies implemented. He will have a solid core of voters who he has single handedly energised to take state politics seriesly.

The democrats will fear him for the above reason.

In a little over a year, when the Presidential election takes place, the democrats won't be able to take California for granted. They will have to spend lots of money here rather than some other states.

McClintock supporters have received their classical training, in political salesmanship.

The method learned in the training is to slur and slam potential voters.

Pot, kettle, black. I've seen much the same by Arnold's supporters, and their treatment of McClintock supporters.

I tend to put more credibility in the ABC poll. David Dryer was saying .....

See that's the problem. David Dreier has lost all credibility due to his recent spate of liberal bosterism. First Liberal Dick (Bill Clinton is the greatest leader in the free world), now Liberal Arnold (the impeachment was an embarrasment to him).

No, I am not a Bustamante supporter. I told you who I support. I see no reason to support a RINO piece of garbage that is against eveything that I am for, and for everything that I am against. I am not a partisan "yellow dog" Republican like so many on here... I only support candidates who at least share some of my core beliefs.

Do you think the Republican Party should be ashamed for impeaching a rapist/murderer like Clinton?

This puts Tom in the top group for the debate. We'll see where the numbers are after Sept 17.

Two big differences:
1) Arnold has a ground-swell of new voters that will vote for him.

2) The mainstream/leftist media is not engaged in a propaganda campaign for him as they were for that prop you speak of.

Absolutely. The mere mention of the more qualified and more conservative candidate brings out catcalls along the lines of anti-California, Cruz-loving, rat-supporting, anti-American, anti-Bush.

etc.
etc.
and so forth.

Davis and Company have not started bashing AS yet and when they do it will be with a vengence and money will be no problem for them. The second part of the ballot doesn't exist for them the only goal is to save face. If McClintock were to drop out now they would would be home free and we would have egg on our face. Anyone that does not consider Davis beating this recall is a fool...

"Pot, kettle, black. I've seen much the same by Arnold's supporters, and their treatment of McClintock supporters."

My observations go beyond just this election.

How frequently is the rino term used? Constantly.

Is it a violation of Reagan's 11th Commandment? Yes.

How frequently do moderate Republicans call someone a single issue voter, knuckle-dragger or equivalent name? Almost never.

It is the self defined "real conservatives" who have name-called potential voters. It is not the other way around.
