That article was out of date. Gray signed the bill last year to gain political leverage over Simon during the 02 gubenatorial race. It has no bearing. See my post #72 and #218. Roscoe is trying to make an issue where none exists.
Yes I knew the article was almost 1 1/2 years old, thus I felt it may have been addressed in the legislature or dropped. That's why I kept pressing him/her for an answer which I never got....
Lots of Red Herrings being tossed about......

He said it was a Simon poll, so it probably
doesn't mean much other than Simon probably going
to support Arnold, but even with that he
won't take anyone with him.

...We were warning Californians here and on Talk Radio one full year before the 2002 Election that Gov. GRAY DAVIS wanted to triple California's Car Tax, but would wait till after that Election to do so =

Speaking of lying stop insulting McClintock
without any sound basis.

Well I understand you point.
But looking at right now, I can't see how Bloomberg
has been any better in regards to anything over
Green.
I know on election day you would figured he
would have at least been a little less bad.
But the reality does not seem any better.

McClintock is moving up, so how about you give
him a chance before writing him off.

I spoke with a plumber today and a guy who owns a water treatment company last week. Both had their Workman's Comp virtually tripled from last year to this year. Both fired their employees and now subcontract out work.
It's crap like this that forced many CA businesses to flee to Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. If a company can save $500,000./year on taxes, Workman's Comp, & benefits for transgendered domestic partners who can blame them?
To: My2Cents
This poll was not an independent poll.
It was Simon poll probably being done
in conjuction with him about to endorse
Arnold so it means nothing.

As an Illinoisan, how does CA's Governor impact you 1 iota? The CA Governor has no say in anything that impacts you. Why do you care? This is the United STATES of America and we are a mobile society. Why, five years ago we had just put our Wisconsin home up for sale (it sold in 5 days) and returned to our beloved Arizona. Twelve years before that we had made the reverse move. Why, any one of us non-Californians today could have a job transer there. In fact, the family of one of my daughter's classmates just transferred out there last year.
In addition, many of us have family or friends there and we care about them. My family, (technically my husband's family), for instance, have relatives living in California and we like to visit them and your state---it's only a day's drive for us.

Well, it means something, if it results in Simon endorsing Arnold. But I've said all of the polls have had little meaning thus far, other than to indicate a trend. The different polls I've seen have had Arnold at 25%, 42%, 22%, 23%, 31%, 22%, with a couple showing Bustamante leading (the most nortorious being the LA Times "poll," undoubtedly of people in their newsroom). The trend is: it's Arnold's race to lose, Bustamante is competitive, and everyone else isn't really competitive.

The poll is not on their webpage
and further than Washington Post poll someone
claims just came out and shows Arnold way ahead
is not on either ABC or Washington Post webpage.
Reality and truth check time!
What's up?

So, in other words, a vote for Arnold is a vote for Dreier for Senate.

If a company can save $500,000./year on taxes, Workman's Comp, & benefits for transgendered domestic partners who can blame them? LOL...you're brutally realisitc, billy, but hopefully it won't come to that. Still, workers comp is almost a bigger issue for small businesses than taxes.

This poll may be fairy tell anyway.
Only the polls taken the first week showed
Arnold at anywere above 25.
And even PIP showing him at 25 done form the
first day Arnold announced to the day it was
released so it had Arnold mania in it as well.
So everything cleanly past first week shows
Arnold in lower 20s at best.
