Man dies after allegedly being run over by girlfriend

(8/25/03 - SAN ANTONIO) — San Antonio police today detained an Atascosa woman after her boyfriend was run over in the parking lot of a bar -- and died.

Investigators say the man allegedly was seen with another woman early today, shortly before he was run over.

His girlfriend was driving an SUV.

Initial reports indicated 35-year-old Andres Salazar was married to his alleged attacker.

But police later said the 23-year-old driver was the victim's girlfriend.

Veronica Alaquinez has been charged with murder.

Bond is $250,000 dollars.

Why don't you advise your son NOT to RUN AROUND on his girlfriend/wife no matter where he lives.

While I know that it's not easy to read the intent of a post online, I'm not sure why you came up with that response. I don't recall having mentioned anything about whether my son has run around on anyone...ever. In fact he was burned very badly by a girl who ran around on him. He was raised with high standards regarding himself and others. So you know...he was in high school and he wouldn't have sex with her...she found someone who would.

You are suggesting that Texas girls are bad for mens health because *one* girl was. I am suggesting he was run over because he was cheating NOT because she was a Texas girl. I knew you were joking it just wasn't funny. (The dentist who killed her husband was from South America, she was not a Texas girl.)

He was actually run over because of the girl's anger over him cheating. Most people don't act out their anger in such a lethal manner. The fact that the girl is from Texas is totally beside the point.

The former Gov Ann Richards said a couple years ago that the price of gas was so high Texas girls were haviing to carpool to run over their husbands,,,refering to that woman who ran over and over and over her husband. I laughed. I think Texas girls are great!

Texas girls are great! Texas is great! I'm a little sick of the bad press tho'. That dentist who ran over her husband was a South American. Did you hear that when Ann Richards went to the Dr. to get a face lift, the Dr told her there was good news & bad news. The bad news was that the face lift was going to cost $10,000 & the good news was that she would have enough skin left over to make a pair of boots. (I know its an old joke but it still makes me laugh)

Funny joke,,I confess to really liking ann richards. And Texas has Laura Bush truly a lovely gal and I hear she smokes which endears her to me as an ex smoker. It takes real guts to smoke these days!

I think Ma Richards is the one who coined the nick name Dubya for Geo. Bush. She intended it as an insult but he embraced it. Took the sting right out of it.
