I would venture that family of immigrants also don't like illegal immigration when their own forefathers came legally.

That's how it was 6 years ago when I left. Last time I drove through the valley, about 2 years ago, it was shocking.

A good friend of mine was born and raised in Woodland Hills/Van nuys, he is 55 now.

Last month he too moved.

Doesn't Mexico have the highest rate of reproduction in the world? It's still not unusual to find a poverty stricken mother with 15 kids in Mexico, you see families of beggers, 8 little kids and another on the way quite often if you go to Mexican cities. Just today a man from Mexico was boasting about having 8 kids by three different women --- of course the kids are on Medicaid and food stamps.

I grew up in Woodland Hills, and it IS shocking what has happened there and in the surrounding areas. The Valley bears no resemblence to what it once was. Much of it is third-world in nature. In the LA area you just have to keep moving farther out, or it will catch up with you. I'm tired of fighting it, have sold my house and am leaving the state.

I moved my family and small business to Wa. states Olympic peninsula. As far away from it as you can get, right?

I live in a small town of 5000. 2 years ago my wife's Sunday school class had 1 spanish speaking boy. It was well known his folks were Illegal. Last year over half her class was spanish speaking only. This year the church is giving spanish services.

If I saw a turn around in policy in Ca. I would return and fight. The line needs to be drawn in Ca.

The INS estimated in February, 2002 that the illegal alien population of Idaho was 19,000 residents. That was an increase from the INS estimate of about 16,000 as of October 1996. That was up from the 12,000 the INS estimated the illegal alien population to be in October 1992. The 33% jump in illegal aliens over those four years was exceeded by only 6 states.
