A good friend of mine was born and raised in Woodland Hills/Van nuys, he is 55 now.
Last month he too moved.

I grew up in Woodland Hills, and it IS shocking what has happened there and in the surrounding areas. The Valley bears no resemblence to what it once was. Much of it is third-world in nature. In the LA area you just have to keep moving farther out, or it will catch up with you. I'm tired of fighting it, have sold my house and am leaving the state.
