Nonsense. Pryor is a man of integrity, with RESPECT FOR THE RULE OF LAW!

Any judge who would be intimidated to get confirmed ought to resign, right now!

The Federal judiciary deserves a pay slash at the very least, since they are failing to do their assigned task. They are our servants, dammit! And show me one American not related to an ABA member who thinks they deserve the pay they get.

Wheter or not we agree with a ruling, if we refuse to abide by it, aren't we advocating anarchy? I thought we had to abide by all the laws, not simply the ones that we agree with. There are legal challenges that may be undertaken to overturn a lae or decision if they are truly unjust, that's what makes this country so great. Just a thought.

Why does'nt president Bush step in?Now that the federal court has opened the door that also means the president can intervene with an executive order proclaiming the Ten Commandments a national monument/treasure,etc..After all,clinton did this kind of thing everytime you turn around.

One good thing about this whole mess, is that the issue God and Government is kept on center stage. Judge Moore has brought more attention to this issue, and what might have been a smoldering coal, has been fanned into a flame.

People are picking sides on this issue and there will be a show-down in the near future.

They would not have done it if the Federal judiciary had not meddled unconstitutionally with that state.

Precisely...and the same groups that have been fighting Moore are fighting Pryor (and others as well).

United Americans for Separation of Church and State....basically a National Council of Churches apostate org....what most of us would consider very left.

ACLU....nuff said.

Who exactly was the named plantiff in this case and who rounded him/her up. These groups always find a "mark" to file for. I must confess I did not look up much on that individual other than to note perhaps a Jewish last name which is all the more sad. I doubt he/she has much in common with the 1500 orthodox rabbis who supported Moore.

Because the Republicans did not push the issue after he stepped down. If they had taken him to court for purjery, witness tampering, liable, and the fact that he lied under oath thus viiolating his oath of office, then they might have had grounds to question his selections. But they chose to write him off as a bad influence and let him walk. I will never forgive the Republican party for this. They screamed rule of law, and let a number of good people get ripped in the press and personal threats, then when they got to the position where they could actually apply it, they backed off. Now they are seeing some of the results.

You don't understand, we live in a democracy, the majority rules, except when it doesn't. Got it now?

The Fed must slip the bonds that the Constitution places on them if we are ever to be subjected to international law where man, not God, grants you what rights and freedoms they feel you are entitled to. And they are darn few believe me.

I concur. Also, I'm sick of courts declaring such things as the monument the "establishment of religion." The corruption of our laws and justice by the courts is THE NUMBER ONE issue, IMO.

According to the Fox website, he's been suspended for ten days. I'm sure that there must be some mechanism for having such a decision reviewed, but maybe the more interesting question is whether CJ Moore will comply with the order in any event. I assume that he feels that, since he did nothing wrong, an order of suspension is illegal and can be just ignored. It will be interesting to see. ;-)

It is. The complaint accused Moore of contempt of court because the eight associate justices had to overrule him. These are ALABAMA judges reviewing this, and they apparently found enough evidence of contempt to move forward with a full blown trial. He is suspended with pay. If found guilty, he would be removed from office.

Do these Alabama judges understand that they are judges for the sovereign State of Alabama or do they think somehow that they are functionary judges for a national government?
