Why does'nt president Bush step in?Now that the federal court has opened the door that also means the president can intervene with an executive order proclaiming the Ten Commandments a national monument/treasure,etc..After all, clinton did this kind of thing everytime you turn around.

Hmmm...That's an interesting idea. I would hope that this will eventually make its way to the US Supreme Court. Doesn't the SCOTUS chamber have the 10 Commandments chiseled in stone?

I know the way that the defenders of the ten commandments in the courtroom should look at this.
They should claim it as a historical artifact...something that reflects are culture.

On the supreme court building (on the East pediment) there is a statue of Moses, confucius, and solon(a law giver of Athens). Now see here, the UNITED STATES GOVERNMNET IS PROMOTING CONFUCIUISM (or however you would spell it). More specifically the UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT is promoting ancestral worship.

http://www.bluffton.edu/~sullivanm/washdc/supremecrt/supremecrt.html

2:24 Confucius said: "To worship to other than one's own ancestral spirits is brown-nosing. If you see what is right and fail to act on it, you lack courage."

That is just one quote I found from Confucius that talks about worshiping your ancestors.

So we either have to take down the statue of Moses , Confucius, and Solon on the the East pediment of the Supreme Court Building, or judge that having such momunments is not a promotion of religion.
