I just found a used copy of Bernard Lewis' "The Arabs in History". I thought it would be useful for our kids for homeschool. Good to know he's well respected.

A great compilation. May I humbly add a great interview done by preacher R.C. Sproul
about Islam (with a Muslim-converted to Christian, IIRC).
It's a good audio series that aired on Sproul's radio show "Renewing Your Mind":

God bless America and Israel, God bless the free world! MP from Poland
Thanks amigo (how do you say "Friend" in Polish?) The USA is here to help protect all the Free World. Nice to know we have a supporter who appreciates us. Also, we can all work together to make a better world for everyone.
No joke.

I would also add
The Closed Circle: An Interpretation of the Arabs by David Pryce-Jones.
Thanks Destro for providing this book list.

it's been my belief for many years that much of Revelation has to do with Islam. You would enjoy this book by George Otis, Jr.: The Last of the Giants, publised 1991, which makes the same contention.

For anyone who wants to learn what mohammedanism is really about and why its so screwed up, go straight to the source:
The Incoherence of the Philosophers aka the "Tahafut al-Falasifa," by Abu Hamid Ibn Muhammad Ibn Muhammad al-Tusi al-Shafii al-Ghazali
It was written in the 11th century by a man known to the mohammedans as their "greatest philosopher" and still shapes their thinking to this day. It is the source of mohammedan fundamentalist occassionalism and a major originator of the ideas of islamic literalism (i.e. using the Koran as a doctrine of law and government).
The most recent translation of it is by Michael Marmura in 1998. You should be able to order it for about 20-30 dollars.

Also check out Hiliare Belloc's "The Great Heresies" in its chapter on mohammedism.
