Orig title was "Egyptian Jurists to Sue 'The Jews' for Compensation for 'Trillions' of Tons of Gold Allegedly Stolen During Exodus from Egypt" which is too long to fit on FR forum....
This is one of the most lunatic things I've seen from the Arab press.
Ever.
And that's saying a lot.

The Jews counter-suit claiming damages for 400 years of involuntary servitude dwarfed the egyptian claim and threatens to bankrupt the entire arab world.

Do they have an itemized inventory to prove just what exactly was taken? BTW - God told them to take it...so here we go again, the "church" separating the "state" of some of its gold...hmmmmm.

Hilmi: "They left in a convoy of 600,000, that is, about 120,000 families. There were a few wagons in the convoy, and a long line of donkeys loaded with the stolen goods
They crossed the desert in the heart of Sinai, in an attempt to confuse Pharaoh's army, which was on their trail
Later they rested and began to count the stolen gold, and discovered that it reached 300,000 kg of gold."
And carried around for 40 YEARS????
They had time to steal 300,000 kg of gold, BUT NOT ENOUGH TIME TO LET THE YEAST IN THEIR BREAD RISE?

No it's sadly a translation from an Egyptian paper.

is this satire?Do Arabs have a sense of humor? I really don't know if this is satire or not (a lot can be lost in a translation) but it would not surprise me at all if it were true.

The sad part is that these bozos might just be able to find an equally loopy anti-Semitic, pro-Palestinian judge in Belgium to take up the case.

Here I thought the idea of reparations was one of the most ridiculous I've ever heard. This FAR trumps it.

Are you trying to make a point, beyond the one which won't quite form on the top of your soft head?

I've missed the
Onion. Wait.

The Egyptian gold ended up in the temple in jerusalem where it was stolen by the babylonians who lost it to somebody, I forget who before it was recovered by the Arabs and lost once more to the mongol hordes who lost it to the franks who have it now. So Egypt needs to sue France to recover their property.

If Memri.org was had on this they should be pretty chagrined.
As an author of satire myself, I have to really appreciate satire that rides the knife-edge of reality.
I have been in a writing slump because reality keeps trumping my ideas.
