#7: Thieves, extortionists, Labor Union Chiefs, every CEO of the Fortune 500.
#8: The NEA, NAACP, AFLCIO
#9: Homosexuals, lesbians, pedophiles, pornographers, web hosts, Hollywood, National Foundation of The Arts.

Are you implying that majorities through government should be able to impose religion upon unwilling minorities?
Would you penalize those who had the 'wrong' beliefs?
Would you force citizens to pay tithes or attend church against their will?

No, they had the first amendment in mind. No state religion.
You change the rules now for your favorite religion and tomorrow the rag heads might get theirs. That will be the day the Koran goes up in the courthouse.
And that's not a scheme? LOL.
The ten commandments don't need your help or the help of government. The day we need some government employee telling us what religion to follow is the day religion will become irrelevant. That might very well be the first day of the Revelation events.
Which one is better? Who cares... it is almost upon us.
