[history]
There has been a great big whoosh of public palaver about the Bravo network show involving five homosexual men -- the Fab 5 -- who have busied themselves renovating, for a fee and in public view, the clothes, food, hair, skin and comportment of hapless heterosexual males.

I must chime in here. My wife and I watched the program last night and I found it entertaining but not as much as she did. I think most of you people are way over reacting. I am a white male, a snazzy dresser, a great cook, and straight as they come. The premis of the show is to transform a guy who lacks a little in the style department and to transform him for the evening for his girlfriend. I found it entertaining and funny and was not offended in the least. This guy got a little nookay because of it, which is worth getting dolled up by a bunch of gay guys in my book.
We conservatives are often bewindered by the hypersensative nature of out counterparts on the left. I spent lunch watching Fox to hear about teaching protesting the Pledge because of "under god". This is crazy!!!
I think "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" is entertaining and didn't get this white male bashing some are eluding to. If the program offends you, don't watch it, but crying about how this show is an attack on the white male makes us no better than the whinney liberal who complains about "The Man Show".

I suppose I should try to force myself to watch a bit of it so I can properly condemn it. Of course more recruitment. Make fagdom as mainstream as possible. Make the hetero male the lowest form of low....lower than queers, even.["Oh the poor dear can't even dress himself!"] Its so obvious. Its definitely NOT funny, not when you consider the implications and the messages.
Its simply so disgusting.

"I really don't think they care about how straight America views them."
Obviously, they don't care. Or maybe they do like being laughed at. I mean, same gender sex is degrading enough. Maybe they get off on being degraded.

"Before the show his attire consisted mainly of tank tops in white and ones with sports logos on them."
So if his 'honey' didn't like his 'style,' why is she with him?
Any woman who would 'rush' to have her guy 'made over' by a bunch of homos probably has some serious emotional problems. (Need to control, need to humiliate, that kind of thing.)

Why isn't it an insult to non-white heterosexual males?....I was going to say because I have seen no other males on the program, but, my memory has failed me again, there was a young black man, a musician I believe that they degraded with their snide remarks. I apologize to the other than white victims of this piece of $hit program.
and to others that wonder why I of all people would watch this show, it was only to verify what I imagined it would be, A PIECE OF $HIT SHOW!!!!!!

I watch it. It's funny as hell. My wife loves the show - I'm always amazed at how easily they find "straight" guys that can't even pick up their dirty laundry or groom themselves.
Most of the "queers" are actually pretty competent, especially regarding things like organization and hygiene, and knowing what the hyper-socially conscious, feminized modern "ladies" dig...gays have always been social confidantes of the "hip" female.
I'm not offended, these guys would have little to show me other than clothes and hairstyles I would refuse to wear.
And, as an aside, they ARE NOT trying to make these guys "gay"- the gayness is really just a gimmick, for the most part the advice is reasonable.

! The only people it is politically correct enough to insult on television these days in the straight man or the white man. The ultimate target for PC. Straight, white male, father, christian, gun-owner, meat eater.
If PC had it's way, a minority would be able to kill one of these people and get a medal for it.

Yes, I understand, but the word "homophobia" is etomologically incorrect. I hate the word to begin with. The buttsex crowd uses it to trump any disagreement. Rick Santorum does not support anal sex because he is a Catholic, and is therefore "homophobic," which in today's day and age is somehow worse than being a serial killer. Seriously. Charles Manson gets better press these days than Santorum.

I can't wait for the spin-offs:
Queer Guy in the AIDS ward, or Queer Guy commits suicide, or Queer Guy Stalks Children. They'll have to turn the laugh tracks way up for those.

"gayness is really just a gimmick"
is AIDS a gimmick? Or shortened life span? Or emotional instability?
Sure, some women love the show. The same chicks who fantasize about their hubbies spending the day at the mall or giving up sports. Mem acting like a gaggle of females is not the least bit funny in my book. That's why God made females and males different. No need for one to act like the other.
The truth is this show is gay-propoganda, designed to not only normalize the abnormal, but to elevate it above the "Neanthredal" stereotype of the straight male. Laugh along if you wish.
To: najida
"The women I know on the boards LOVE this show...and most wish their SO would get a make-over from these guys." You must talk to air-headed women with fruit loop husbands. My wife detests the homo lifestyle even more than I do.

Now on a major network (NBC). Jay Leno was promoting their show the other night, submitting himself to a ridiculous "makeover" on the Tonight Show. ....and he came out of it looking damn fruity. And I hate what they did to his talk show set. I think it looks awful. I got the impression Jay didn't care for it either but was too polite to come right out and say it.

Thank you - I'm sick of people acting like all women secretly desire a fag for mate. Real women prefer real men!
