Day Before 10 Commandments D-Day: Ambassadore Keyes on Hannity

Posted on 08/19/2003 3:01:13 PM PDT by Arthur Wildfire! March

Alan Keyes is calling on everyone within driving distance to rally in Alabama with him-- a candlelight vigil tomorrow at 7:00 PM. Keyes is fired up about this. Mike Savage is fired up about this. Hannity asked Ambassadore Keyes if Judge Roy Moore might land in jail. Keyes replied, "Only if I go to jail with him!"

Judge Roy Moore will be on Hannity tomorrow night. Whoever can't go [I can't go-- wish I could], please pray for these patriots.

Sport, I simply passed along what Fox and MSNBC reported they heard Judge Bagman say. As it was, he was so eager to smear Thomspson, he garbled his statement either by design or by mistake - nonetheless, he garbled it.

There was no lie there.

So do you want to tell us which pseudoconservative organizations or televangelical outfits you run money for, or must we sit around guessing?

"...the notion of Gospel in the Stars is complete heresy..."

Luke 21:25 doesn't really mean what it says then?

No thanks, I don't smoke anymore. Maybe next time though. < g >

So, you're saying if one believes the Creator gives/has given/will give signs in the heavens, they are heretics?

If they think that thre will be discernable messages in the heavens which amount to prophecy if read properly? Yes.

Bump for the Ten Commandments, several of which I have broken, but thanks to Jesus, there's still hope for me.

Dear sci fi guy,

You repeat your lies in your reply. You did more than “pass along,” you repeated the lie endlessly and then accused Moore’s supporters of making off with $125 million. You lied about the court decision. You then accused me of having a financial interest in this issue. Your attacks against Judge Moore, Dr. Kennedy and all who support them have been vicious and ad homonym.

You are a despicable human being and have demonstrated that in these threads. In that respect you don’t even have the ethics of “lugnut” who when he found out about your Fox report lie, at least fessed up. You, on the other hand, just slunk away with your tail between your legs.

Those who read this reply should know that you appear to have some serious psychological issues with religion.

No - I have a serious problem with doom crying televangelicals and those who would offer themselves up to play marionettes for same, don't trust them and look at what they do as theft against the hysterical and weak minded.

And as I told you before, I was simply passing along the Fox news report - there were no lies involved.

Now, given your repeated and nasty defense of televangelicals and Roy Moore, I have wondered if you work in that industry. Inasmuch as you won't deny it, I can only assume that you do.

Good day.

I would rather err with Paschal:

"God is, or He is not." But to which side shall we incline? Reason can decide nothing here. There is an infinite chaos which separated us. A game is being played at the extremity of this infinite distance where heads or tails will turn up...
Which will you choose then? Let us see. Since you must choose, let us see which interests you least.

You have two things to lose, the true and the good; and two things to stake, your reason and your will, you knowledge and your happiness; and your nature has two things to shun, error and misery.

Your reason is no more shocked in choosing one rather than the other, since you must of necessity choose...

But your happiness? Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is...

If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation that He is.

Is there a specific B.C.V. to support that theocracy or is that restricted to your orthodoxy? Just would like to know....

I would have to leave right now to be about an hour or two late. I know one thing we can do is make some phone calls to the congress, the White House, and to the local authorities there in Alabama.

Ah - you're assuming that we go about these things the same way you do. Our scholarship is quite a bit older than yours, and at home, I have books on the subject, none of which will be on the net.

If this (meaning the Ten Commandment Monument) was sitting outside Independence Hall in 1787 do you think 55 men would have still carried on the business of that day?

Yes. They would have seen it as the Word of God in stone, not as a reason to rant about "separation of church and state." They would have been Words which they believed and on which they based our country's laws--the common law of the centuries, not just Judeo-Christian law. As you stated, there is more at stake here than a judge defying a court order.

Thanks, Madison. Although my original question was rhetorical, you've provided an excellent, and accurate, response.
