'Who Wants to Marry My Daughter'? Southbridge family holding auditions for possible suitors

If it's true that a woman has to kiss many frogs before she finds her prince, then Kimberly Devlin's lips must be turning green. Recent first dates -- they usually end there -- have asked her to pay the check, have lied about owning a car, or have fibbed about their line of work. The last man who asked her out, though nice enough, was a walking billboard for his tattoo parlor and wore more earrings than the 22-year-old Devlin could count.

George Washington was a brewer.

Samuel Adams and John Adams too. As I recall, the Boston Tea Party was planned in a pub.

Ah, the old answer a question with a question tactic. The tactic of mental pygmies.

Ignorance on your part is an excuse. Nonetheless, I don't think your business requires a high level of morality, intelligence, or education so it should not matter for your income potential.

Your right. Any dummy with little to no education and a total lack of intelligence can run successful businesses for 30+ years.

Maybe my grandparents should have not taken any risks and just stuck to working in the Endicott Johnson shoe factory slaving away at the machinery. Of course, had they done that they would be in dire circumstances now as EJ picked up and moved out of town.

Luckily they did do what more people should do, they struck out on their own. And they plowed the profits not only into growing the business, but into what has turned into a large amount of real estate holdings. Of course, you will most likely consider them to be immoral, illeducated slum lords for daring to own rental properties.

Ya right. You know damn well they were there to watch the dancers and more than likely to purchase a little flesh.

George Washington was a brewer. Was he trash, immoral, and a plague on society? Taverns were also a favorite meeting place for the founders and their supporters for discussion of the coming revolution.

And candidates for public office hung out at polling places, plying the voters with whiskey.

Like John McCain's "Free Beer Party" in SC last year for underage drinkers!

Correction. Not last year, but during the 2000 campaign.

HA! I made a pun, unintentionally.

I have no clue what you are talking about, other than the fact that you seem to have trouble understanding simple terms (parents are people who give birth and/or raise their children).

You have the sanctimonious nature of a holier than though person in "the program".

Too bad you don't put your rightous indignation where it would do some good, like maybe not making it seem OK to have kids outside of wedlock, and then not giving them up for adoption. Too bad..more kids can suffer because you are trying to prove a very progressive point.

Plus, the resistance at Lexington and Concord were discussed and decided at Taverns. The Minutemen gathered, prior to the "shot heard round the world", at Buchman's Tavern next to the Lexington Green.

I have no clue what you are talking about,

Why is that ?
You are the one calling this young woman a name.
Or did you lie to us about your own history and something is pricking your conscience ?

You are the one ranting about casting stones and blood, and I am the one more concerned about this fatherless child having a quasi normal childhood, which doesn't seem possible.

I have nothing in my past...I've lived a fairly boring life. Sorry. Nothing here for you to see.

Now what do YOU feel so guilty about as to excuse her henious behaviour by attacking me for being honest?

You are the one who keeps calling her by a vulgar epithet. If she had killed her baby you would be blissfully ignorant of her sin, but no, you get to call her a .... and exult in your righteousness because you never let a boy or girl touch you before marriage.

At least she didn't kill her baby. I'm sure there are a lot of "peacocks" strutting around out there that look like real finds and they could've had 3 abortions. Get real.

I don't excuse her behavior. She has a baby. She has no husband. I don't know exactly how she landed in her present circumstances but she has apparently picked a string of ne'er do well men. Her original father is dead. Her (step)father is a former bar manager.

I'm simply trying to help you be honest as you call her names. Would you like another rock and someone to hold your coat ?

Yeah.. it's called justice. People who do the right thing, even if it's hard are exhalted over those who take the low road.

Get used to it. It's called life and the consequences of your actions.
