Diplomacy's messy. We could not take him out without destabilizing the ME and Asia before 9-11. We did not actively support this monster after the Gulf War. We did set up and pay for the no-fly zones, helped the Kurds establish a strong community in the north. We did do everything possible to rally the world when we could - after 9-11, after it was clear to all what those like Saddam Hussein were willing to do. Our President made the effort. Our troops are making the sacrifices.

Agree ---- but I'm for shooting first then asking questions. I'm afraid our "smart bombing" may be backfiring -- left too many of the slugs alive. Far as I'm concerned, they should level the whole damn country. sorry for the rant......but I'm tired of our military getting killed every day by these barbarians.

I see no one's talking about the elephant in the room--the Palestinians, who have used car bombs for years.
 

I am misspelling his name in major way but it could be the work of Muniyega who engineered the Marine barracks bombing in Lebanon in 1983 and who is associated with Al Queda. Whoever/whatever clan or mafia did the bombing will get big backslaps and bragging rights in the "terrorist community". My theory is the UN means nothing to them. All they know and care is it's a bunch of foreigners operating there. So kill them for Allah.
