I just got back from Canada, and the changes in the last five years are amazing. This country has truly become a socialist state, whether or not the people want it.

Before they can regret...they have to recognize the reality of their slavery. I'll bet the Canadians will never link gun control to a loss of freedom...nor will they EVER be willing to resort to violence to retake something they never had.

A bigger question is whether or not our society will do so, given a similar situtation. Right now, the AWB may or may not sunset; but we have a fairly friendly President as far as gun control goes....but not one that is proven when the chips are down. Still....it is inevitable that at some point, maybe in 2008....we'll have another RAT in the White House. Have we as a society (and I don't mean just freepers!), got the guts to really fight to the death...another American Revolution? I don't think so.

NYC - 1 incident in which 20 were arrested, in addition to a handful of other cases of looting
