I live in Ottawa and the only crime I've heard of tonight was an armed robbery at a jewlery store that started only minutes after the blackout at 5pm. A bystander tackled one of the robbers and held him for the police. Given the timing of it, it is doubtfull that the blackout prompted this in any way.

I just got back from Canada, and the changes in the last five years are amazing. This country has truly become a socialist state, whether or not the people want it. Time to annex and liberate the Canadians (and I ain't kidding).
