This is more in line with what my instincts would have said. Some of the early figures just didn't look realistic to me.
Thanks for the post.

A woman from NAALCP was complaining to Hannity & Commie that the "shads" [sic] would haunt the election.
Factoring in Democrat voter fraud, Democrat Secretary of State corruption, California Supreme Court kangarooism, Arnold will still win handily.

Ditto that. The best part of his goofy self being in the race is that (hopefully) this will be the final nail in his coffin.

Arnie draws further away from the pack, 51% is above market control (41.7%) and puts him way above target treat from Bustamente (17% X 1.732 = 29.4%).
Further....if he takes the conservative vote of Ueberroth, Simon and McClintock) that puts him at 69% well on the way to theoretical monopoly percentage of 73.9%.
(Recal that the toon got 42% of the vote). For details of this and analysis of the strong position of Japan LDP see chaper 4 of Lanchester Theory - Science to Win the Competition - by Dr. Onoda.

Certain voters doesn't seem to be a good measure. Likely voters is considered the best but certain voters? Arnold's got a good core but certain voters are the only ones voting.
To: ambrose
Well you may be right. These numbers are pretty phenominal. I like that photo with Maria smiling to the side of Arnold. There's no love lost for the Kennedys here, but I think it's nice to see Maria with Arnold picking up his papers.

The last time I can remember a candidate picking up so much support so quickly was Ross Perot in 1992. In literally a matter of weeks, he was leading in the race to become president.
Of course, we all know how that one turned out...
