Shaughn Butts, The Journal / Followers look on as Marc Emery smokes up Sunday.

EDMONTON - Wearing a conservative blue suit, B.C. marijuana activist Marc Emery lit up a water pipe in front of Edmonton police headquarters Sunday afternoon and was promptly arrested. The leader of the B.C. Marijuana Party contends poss ession laws no longer exist because of recent Ontario court decisions. Before lighting up, Emery said the fact that people can be political and take action makes Canada "the greatest place on Earth." Two Edmonton police constables stepped into the crowd and led Emery inside, to a chorus of boos and jeers from about three dozen supporters who decried the arrest as unconstitutional. Federal Crown prosecutors have told Edmonton police that laws prohibiting marijuana possession are still in effect, said Insp. Dick Shantz. Officers charged Emery with a single count of pot possession. Police also tried to stop Emery's campaign by asking that a Canadawide ban preventing him from going to police stations unless he has a legitimate complaint be made one condition of his release. "We're getting tired of dealing with him," Shantz said. "He's tying up our manpower with his illegal crusade and we're not going to put up with it." Others were also smoking marijuana but Shantz said no one else was arrested because police did not have the manpower. Emery, publisher of the magazine Cannabis Culture, was arrested in Calgary on Saturday. He was earlier arrested in Winnipeg, Regina, Moncton, N.B., and St. John's, Nfld. He was not arrested at stops this summer in Toronto and Charolettetown, P.E.I. dpenner@thejournal.canwest.com |

You worship Ozzie....plus you have a sick relationship with presidio...you should be worried more than me. Actually he's extrememly concerned about the damage Ozzie and others like him (yourself included) have done to themselves with marijuana, and other than our sincere desire to ensure the continuing illegal status for pot I know nothing about Axel. But then too mush pot does make one paranoid, so I can see how you might jump to that fantastic conclusion.

Gotta love the way they're bumping a thread in which their near-absolute vacuity is revealed for all to see.

LOL. But seriously or (series) grow up man. You are like Peter Pan that never grew up in "Never Never Land."
I guess that you have never gotten over your parents saying, "Now little headsonpikes, while you live under our roof, you are not going to smoke that crap."
I am here to tell you that "Never Never Land" is fantasy.
You anti-woddies are truly amazing. Amazing in the sense that you are attempting to persuade people to drop their common sense and accept the legalization of the harmful drugs that would produce an individual like Ozzy Osborne.
Amazing in the second sense, that you deny or ignore the common sense that the rest of the civilized world has, that pot and the opiates are bad. Instead you want to rail on about the WOD in this country like we are the only society that sees those types of drugs as being bad and harmful.
Mushrooms indeed. You need to stay off all the the poisons that you are putting in your system, then your mind if you have any brain cells left, will shock you with the reality of the situation.
And that situation is that Ozzy Osborne, a famous user of illegal drugs, said on MTV, that the use of pot led his son Jack, to being a user of harder more addictive drugs.

Yes, it's all just "common sense", isn't it?
I mean, our leaders know what's best, don't they?
They've thought it all through - they're experts!
Right or wrong, it's all for the best, I'm sure.
Don't worry your silly little head over such things - the government knows what it's doing!

Truth and fact:
A country at war with its citizenry is not a 'society' by any definition of the word nor can it possess peace particularly for export. A stable society is not one in which citizens are warred upon by an EVIL spirit of unconstitutional nature bent on controlling the minds of the populace through FALSE PROPAGANDA and DEADLY FORCE directed by a CZAR. Neither is it a stable society when an individual is imprisoned for possession of a flower from the garden of God because it may alter the thoughts in that individual in a manner deemed inappropriate by corporate pawns seeking to maintain the efficiency of their chattel.
Do you have any statement of substance on anything I have posted to you?

If any thing is responsible for Jack Osborne trying hard drugs it is first and foremost the sins of the father. But, fame is to blame in part. Even the show producers should take some blame, since they had to be around facilitating through the blind eye peering luridly from behind a camera as he cohorts with the notoriously heroine chic promoters of the hard core. It is all about ratings and sound bites.

Ya, know. Earlier in one of your posts you bragged on how the lurkers were being impressed by the logic of you great anti-wodders on these anti-wod threads.
Bubba, I'm here to tell you that the above Liberdopian bilge that you just posted ain't gonna cut it. Not in this conservative forum.

ROTFLMAO!!!
You 'true believers' in American Socialism have been adequately exposed by Eric Hoffer.
To his astute analysis I can only add, Q.E.D.

"They have and they said NO..."
The people have never had a voice in the matter.
Don't pretend not to be aware of the actual legislative history regarding Drug Laws, which MrLeroy, among others, has repeatedly posted on these WOD threads.
The entire script read like the dialogue in a film noir '30s movie about bent coppers, crooked pols, and a duped populace.
Unfortunately for America, the WOD is no B-movie and there's no happy ending where those responsible GO TO JAIL!
At least, not yet.

Here let me help you. The more people (lurkers) see the pic of that idiot lighting up his bong pipe the more they see my tagline that:
OZZY OSBORNE SAID ON MTV THAT POT SMOKING LED HIS SON JACK, TO BE A USER OF HARDER MORE ADDICTIVE DRUGS.

The people have never had a voice in the matter. You are either a liar or just downright stupid.
In THE 2000 elections, (where the people have a voice) pot issues were soundly and roundly defeated by the PEOPLE.
