Logan's Friday morning update
Hi everyone....
Well we can't call Logan a "termite" anymore. The little stink now weighs 3 lbs. 7.8 oz and he's 14 1/2" long. The boy is growing by leaps and bounds!!!
He had a pretty good night last night, although he did have one episode where they had to assist him. They did finally suction him and once his nasal passage was cleared out, it seemed to help him. Due to the canula, and whatever else, the membranes in his nose become dry and accumulates where it stops up and hinders some of his breathing. I don't know if I'm explaining this correctly, but anyway, it takes the suctioning to get it cleaned out and to help him.
His Mommy said that while she was holding him last evening, she heard this little noise out of him when he was smiling..... the nurse told her he was mimicing her and was laughing!!! Yep...... the little guy was actually laughing :) Says a lot about the influence of his mommy and portraying it to this tiny infant! Ain't love grand???!!???
Logan is taking on his own very special look. He looks like "Logan". And he definitely has his personality developing. He's a happy little guy that a smile comes easily to. I know I keep saying this, but God has blessed us with this baby. We thank Him so.
Logan was given some formula mixed with his mommy's milk last evening. It seems the supplier can't keep up with the demander! It's so wonderful that my daughter has been able to pump her milk for him and that he is receiving the antibiodies to help keep him healthy through her mother's milk. Of course, there is nothing she wouldn't do to insure the safety and health of this baby.
On a special note... our thanks to God and those who are responsible for keeping us all safe... that yesterday went without any big incidents of terror. Those who condem and disagree with what's being done have a right to their opinion.... but folks... make no mistake... it's by the Grace of God, our troops and public servants such as fire and police, and the leadership of our country that we have come as far as we have with the war against terrorism. May God grant His wisdom to those who lead, to continue to dispel these terrible deeds that may be planned against all free people of the world.
Thank you all for your love and prayers and caring for our little love one.
.... God bless you all.
Sara Grace Needs Our Prayers, Too
BG here....folks, I'm going to ask you to include in your prayers for our Freeper babies, a post on this thread by Shandon Belle. I pray I'm not overstepping my boundaries by doing this as I've not had permission, but here goes...this is from one of her prior posts...I think of the song "Somewhere over the rainbow/What a wonderful world by Israel Komak (not complete last name it's something like Komakowiksi? My 3 1/2 yr old grandson had a stroke in July and this is his favorite song. When I held him in my arms and listened to him sing "what a wonderful world", I truly realized , what a wonderful world!
Her little guy could use some prayer too, have at it Freepers...
IIRC, newborns don't know how to breathe through their mouths -- 'bout the only time they do it is when they're crying. (That was the case for my kids, anyway. My youngest got a cold at ~2mos, and we were all miserable....)
