If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

As soon as she is able, I hope the Mama is able to do what I did with my preemie...it was called "kangarooing"...they would take the baby and lay her on my bare chest and then place a blanket over the both of us, enough for the baby to get air and we both stayed like that for an hour or two. I know Logan is still probably a bit too little for that, but she might look into it if they havent already discussed it with her.

Thanks....I've seen pics, and it appears that that's been happening.
BTW, how old is YOUR little one now? (I think) that I forgot to ask this morning when I saw your post.

Hello from a preemie mom. My son was born at 28 weeks and weighed 1 lb 5 oz. He spent 4.5 months in the NICU. He had many ups and downs, but has been home now for 5 months. He's on oxygen, but it's really not a big deal. It overwhelmed me at first.
A saying that helped me through is: "Stop telling God how big your storm is. Start telling your storm how big your God is."
Prayers from here for hefty weight gain and healthy lungs.
To: Brad's Gramma
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

She is now nine years old and goes to private school, very healthy and happy...and smart! Last year she won highest overall average in language arts in third grade. She is no slouch in math either.
I know the stresses and worries everyone is going through. Prayer really does help though! You got a lot of people pulling for him!!
