Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Logan Update!

I, Brad's Gramma, don't have a written report from Logan's Grandma but I've been in contact with her.

Logan's Mommy has a sore throat and can NOT see Logan until it's cleared up, so please.....that's prayer #1. She needs to get that cleared up, ASAP.

And, as Logan's Grandma said, he'd have his ups and downs. Well, starting yesterday and continuing today...he's in that "down" mode. Please, that's the 2nd prayer that's needed. We need to petition God to bring him back to where he was.

I've pulled this off of the Canteen's thread today, I hope they don't mind. It's SO applicable for Logan and his family.

"However, trusting God in the midst of pain and suffering is even more important. The Psalmist declares, "In God I trust; I will not be afraid" (Ps 56:4). God rules the universe and he really does care about you and me. The Lord watches over everyone who loves and serves him. He is with us in good and bad times. He is able to give us peace and strength in the midst of whatever suffering comes our way."

Rest in God's grace, Logan, Mommy and Daddy, Nana, and all of the family...He's the one who will see you through this and bring Logan home where he belongs.

And then I, BG, am GETTING ON A PLANE!!!!! :-) I get to hold that baby.

The timing of your updates seems to coincide with the time I log into FR. Divine intervention? Perhaps. I won't argue, I'll just believe that God has orchestrated things to keep me in the loop in a timely fashion and a reminder to go before the Throne as soon as possible.

Continuing to praise Him for the mighty work He is doing through you, Logan, and Logan's family.

....you know GOD has been good to me, I am very fortunate, I live a very good life and have more than most could want, so when am I happiest? When I am holding a baby!!!!!!

They can poop on me throw up on me I don't care, I love their warmth, their wonderful smell, the softness of their hair and it doesn't matter who's baby it is, I am drooling until they finally ask me if I want to hold it. If they don't get the hint, I just go ask them! It takes me twice as long to do my shopping, cause, I have to talk to all the babies. my husband says I have a problem!!!

Gracious Father,

We call forth the healing of any and all illness on the part of Logan's mother. Blaze your mercy throughout her immune system and allow this devoted mom to return to her post next to Logan. While this is happening, help this young mother get the rest she needs in order to gain the strength and health she needs at this time and in the days to come.

We further call forth the upward trend of Logan's wellness. It is reported that he has made a not-unanticipated step back in progress, but we do not desire to let this go unnoted. Father, let this little tyke regain his earlier status and move on upward from there.

Let this all be done according to thy will and timing. Let our prayers also cover those who are in similar need, by thy grace.
