Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Logan, it is spectacular that you are doing so well! Thanks go to G-d for answering our prayers! Onward and upward, little sweet, smart babykins! Go, go, go, and grow, grow, grow!!

A note to Beth -- I have been researching vaccines. DO NOT LET THEM give Logan ANY for the time being. You probably already know the risks to the immune system if preemies get vaccinated. Just wait a while. Sorry to be a buttinsky but I happened across sad stories so I thought I would just make sure you guys say "no" at the present time.

So happy and will keep praying for the cutest Termite in the world.

To update on Zachary, he came through his surgery well, and his blood oxygen levels were greatly improved. He is still a very sick little baby, and will require additional surgeries at six months and three years to complete the restructuring of the heart, but he is at least out of immediate danger from this first surgery.

I'm thinking it would be a good idea for such a book to be written, if nothing else about what happens in NICU, maybe it would help parents. It has been very enlightening to know about all the things that have happened to Logan. I had one son in NICU twice, for short periods, and I was totally unprepared for it. The doctors and nurses sometimes don't have much time to explain anything to you.

You could write a wonderful book about Logan's experiences in the hospital, especially when we know there will be a happy ending and he is home with his parents.

I am so glad to hear about Zachary's surgery being successful! My prayers remain with Zachary and your family. I am sorry he has to go through that at all, but at least technology has advanced enough to make surgery a good option. With the medications and techniques they use now it is much easier to recover from. God bless you all and please keep us posted. :)

Oh heavenly Father, It is said confess all before God. I will do so. Give testament unto God. This I will do. When Father I was young I confess I never thought of you. When I was going to lose my leg to gangren. The doctors decision to take the leg,so as to save my life, was fought. I lived. They said I would never walk correctly again. A few years later...I was running 11 mile every other day! I never thought of you God. When a flash fire cooked my hair away and crisped my head,eyes and arms. They told me I would be permenantly scarred and I would never see well again If I saw at all. Only my Mom can tell where the remnants of the scars are. As for my hair,well it grew back but, thanks to the ravages of time,it departed on its own timetable. As for my sight,as of my last physical..18/15 thats near Bugs Bunny range (oh rahhh). I never though of you God. The concusions,fractures,stabb wounds, through all of these I never thought of you God. All of these things were supposed to be "disasterously bad" for me. But, somehow I always came out like nothing ever happened. What have I ,a "non-bliever", done to be so blessed. I don't know. I know I have broken most of Gods commandments,but not all. What could it be. I met a man sometime( and I mean sometime) back. We talked about "my life" and life. He asked if I believed. Mine was the typical Not really, I believe there is something greater out there( my mom raised me better than that really but I did'nt listen.) He looked at me and said " Gods' been taking care of you all your life and you still have'nt figured it out yet. But you will when you get older." Well I sure am older now. Much older now. I have seen many of my family return to God's grace. A fact which we all must someday accept. I before God and all confess my sins. I give thanks Oh lord for you bountiful blessing. Which I don't know what I did to deserve them, but am truly thankful. I ask forgiveness for my youthful arrogance. When I look back, I realize you God, really did carry me through those good times and bad times. I know you are a compassionate and wonderful God. I know you are a jealous God and a vengeful God. But I know from first hand experience, You are an extremely compassionate,wonderful,and forgiving God. I pray father for blessing for these children. I pray for your mercy,your guidance. You took care of me, when many on earth said it was hopeless. I pray father. St Mark 10:13 And they brought young children to him,that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. 10:14 But when Jesus saw it. He was much displeased. and said unto them suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not:for such is the kingdom of God. 10:15 Verily I say unto you Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall not enter therein. 10:16 And He took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them. I know you God. I know your blessing God. I, a sinner, know your mercy. I pray thee father...bless these children,and keep them. In Jesus name....Ahmen.

footnote: For one that never really believed when I was "adolescent". It took some time for me to realize all of his blessing to me. As I have gotten older,I realized his blessing in much of my life. For this I truly give thanks. I take this post as a chance to tell all of him and his blessings. His compassion and mercy. And to give testament. Believe me. Looking back I know I was blessed. Still it is a mystery as to why but then again I will find out that answer later. God bless you all and from me and mine.....thank you.

Thanks Eaker. Bless that baby’s heart. He might be the Texas Termite today, but I have no doubt this little fellow is going to be known as the Texas Giant real soon.

Thanks again for bringing me on board about this. I have a pipeline straight to the Man, and I The Termite will be included in all communications.

BTW, I can’t tell you how nice it was to see you, and TheMom today. Everything seems to be going pretty good for all of us, and Moailla is working like a champ. Thanks for the tip.
