Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

I am praying for the strength of the family, I myself have a preemie born 10 weeks premature at 30 weeks gestation. She was 2 pounds. Those kids are fighters and I pray for every ounce that child gains, God Bless that beautiful baby.

Haven't been on your thread for awhile. Just went through the pictures and it made me smile so hard. I hope you're doing well. I moved before Thanksgiving and I was told you mailed me a picture. I didn't get it. :(

Hey everyone.....I have another prayer request of all of you.

Beth now needs our prayers. I knew last week that she was having dizzy spells...I got this tonight in my email from Nana:

Beth has suffered a "profound" hearing loss in the last couple of weeks with dizziness. Tomorrow they do an MRI to see if she has a brain tumor.

Pray Nancy....... please.......

Dear Lord, PLEASE PLEASE put your hand on this wonderful lady, this Mommy of Logan. Jesus, please heal her. Please give Nana and all of the family the peace they need, they've been through SO MUCH already.

Lord, guide the doctors, the nurses, please let this just be something "small", something treatable with medicine.

Father, thank you for all of these wonderful prayer partners here on Free Republic...God, hear our prayers.

In your Holy Name,

AMEN

Good Lord. Prayers up, Gramma.

Call me a Conspiracy kook, but I have heard of so many brain tumor cases lately -- one of them was very close to me, and she is fine now after surgery -- that I simply have to suspect cell phones. I spent a lot of time in radio, where they warned us to keep our exposure to the microwaves very brief while doing our transmitter readings. Now, people are putting microwaves right to their temples -- some of them almost 24 / 7. It just CAN'T be good for people. It simply can't.
