If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
BTTT!!!!!!
Thanks for the PING Brad's Gramma!

ALL PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR TO OUR RISEN SAVIOR!!!
If I can see this monitor, I'll try to explain.
About four months ago I stepped in a hole at the rig and twisted as I fell. The MRI showed that it ripped the glutous medias muscle where it attaches to the hip.
Folks, I've broken broncs, and been in bar fights and car wrecks, but I've never had pain like this in my life.
Vicodin is the only thing that touches it.
According to the orthopedists, the muscle appears to be healed, but it looks like the sciatic nerve is bound up in the scar tissue.
It's like pulling teeth to get straight answers, but I think the surgical procedure is to free the nerve and remove the bursa sack that's swollen to the size of half a cantaloupe.
I told them I didn't care if they replaced the hip if it would stop the pain.
It should be a two day hospital stay and two weeks of physical therapy.
I've always been like an old bear with a sore paw. I crawl off in a hole and fight it out by myself, and seeing all this sympathy and prayers for me is a new experience.
Words are not enough to express my gratitude.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Nana sent those pictures to me a couple of days ago when I was still at the rig. It was evening time which is always the worst for the pain.
As I was sitting there with waves of pain coming and going, I opened those pictures and got that same Logan grin I always get when I see our boy.
As always, I wanted to hug the monitor.
All of a sudden I realized the pain was gone! I don't know how to explain that, and it came back after a little while, but for the time being, I was pain free.
Our boy is a miracle, and I firmly believe he's destined to work miracles in other people's lives.
He's typical boy, by the way. He's usually too busy to be hugged.
It makes no difference. I'm going to hug him anyway.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, my friends.
I'll keep you posted as much as I can.
AKA: Texas Cowboy
It's nice to see that Logan is doing great. Kids are so much fun, especially grandkids.
Thanks for the cute pics of Logan. TC you will definately get my prayers. You are a good man and deserve to be healed. Praying for a successful surgery and rapid recovery.
We knew that. :-)
Healing prayer continue.
BTTT!!!!!!
Quit yer (gripin') ya jarhead. Go get it worked on, and get gung-ho about your PT. You won't regret it, and you'll be back to chasin' Logan before you know it. 8-)
I'll be praying for you, TC.
Sciatic pain is worse than childbirth, trust me ;-).
Fortunately surgery worked for me. I'll be praying it works for you too.
TC. Prayer sent heavenward for freedom from pain and a successful surgery and a quick & complete recovery.
And, Logan....my gosh. He's losing that baby look and getting the boy face. Thanks for an update.
Prayers up for TC. That everything goes perfectly and he's out of pain fast!
It's an awful sort of pain.
Logan is in my prayers and so is his Mommy ...God Bless You
Logan is truly a miracle, and we've seen another of many miracles on FR: we're a family.
You be good, TC, and get better!
My new thought for the day: If that which does not kill us makes us stronger, can't I just lift weights instead?
The only prayer I will say for TC today is that I get to him before he goes to the doctor so that the injuries I inflict upon him can be fixed at the same time as his leg! TC and I post to each other on a regular bases and he has NEVER told me about his injury. Just this weekend I invited him to a rig christening in Arcola and he said in passing that he was going to the doctor in a manner that made me think it was routine.
Were I not posting this from the docks in Freeport, I would hunt him down and hurt him today!
TC - while I don't like you (though you might have been ok before the Marines) can I collect mail, papers, or hire a stripper ... er ... nurse to give you bed baths? I know you have my cell number but I'll resend it to your email and FReepmail just in case. The offer of help in no way reduces the chance of a (rear end) kicking.
Prayers up for you & cause of pain, TC!
Hang in there. Prayers continue.
Prayer sent for you TC, and praise to the Lord for Logan!
So, Please do what the Doctors tell you to do.
You can always get a good second opinion from another Orthoedist and Neurologist...at a different Hospital or facility, if you feel it necessary.
We Will Keep You In Constant PRAYER, lifting You Up before The Throne of Grace and Mercy.
PS: and I agree 100% LOGAN IS GOOD MEDICINE!
That Precious Smile and those Beautiful Eyes are.....PRICELESS!!!
Yea she gets uppity and does that to lots of us!!!
