I sorrta support McClintock. However, he needs to sit down with Arnold & Simon and find out which 2 are gonna withdraw from the race. Till then I support the candidate that has the best chance of winning.

All these so-called Republicans should debate. Arnold's a nice guy, it seems, but so was Jethro Bodine.

Please explain why California conservatives should support Tom McClintock over Bill Simon? What is the rationale?

Visit
http://www.tommcclintock.com/ .
McClintock got 100,000 more votes than Simon got in 2002.
McClintock is also the only Republican running that has said he still supports Prop 187.

10% Tommy needs to execute an Issa ASAP, so as not to give Bustamove the governorship.

Supporting McClintock over Simon is easy.
I was a big Simon supporter last year, and it would please me to see him win this time. But I'd rather see McClintock win since he has the budgetary experience and the team-building experience and the parliamentary experience... in short, the EXPERIENCE... to get the job done.
Simon was the best of the three GOP choices last time around, but this time he isn't.
To: TheDon
You mean Simon has to drop out so McClintock can get all of the conservative vote.
In the Gallup poll, Simon and McClintock both had 13% of the vote and Bustamente had 22%.

"42 percent of registered voters said there's a good chance they would vote for Schwarzenegger...
22 percent said there's a good chance they would vote for Bustamante...
64 percent said Davis should be removed from office, including 40 percent of Democrats."
Leaving 36% who think Davis should remain in office. So, if they think Davis should remain, I guess they will vote to replace him with Bustamente. This would give Bustamente 58% of the vote. We have a winner! Sigh.... The article regarding the poll isn't very clear on this point, but that seems to be the outcome they predict.

I have contributed to Tom (just 5 minutes ago)
I am a currently out of state native and while I can't vote I can help.
If Simon does not pull out and Tom can't get numbers at the last minute I'd vote Arnold (grittin gmy teeth).

10% Tommy needs to execute an Issa ASAP, so as not to give Bustamove the governorship. Add Arnold *OR* Simon to this. In other words 2 out of 3 Republicans need to drop out NOW!

Are those the only reasons?
Who has more money to run a statewide campaign?
To: Drango; TheDon
It's actually good for conservatives that Arnold is in this. He's sucking away a lot of support from Bustamante.
To: Pubbie
So that poll has Tom tied for 3rd place. Another poll has him squarely in 4th place behind Simon's 3rd.
To: Cultural Jihad
Tom is 10 points behind Bust-a-move and 25 points behind Arnie. The writting is on the wall and you guys are blind.
