Apparently, the fact that this concerns ILLEGAL immigrants didn't seem important to whomever wrote the headline.

Good for Arnold. I hope this is still his position. Why have immigration laws if they can be violated without consequence? Either enforce the law or change it.

For anyone who might be interested, the liberal Aunold is in NY and is about to speak. You think he would want to be in CA speaking if this were a serious campaign instead of a free publicity stunt for his movie. Now for anyone who is seriously interested in what a conservative candidate would do if elected, you can go to http://www.krla870.com and listen to a re-broadcast of Tom McClintock's interview on the Mark Larson program and what McClintock's proposals are. He was on at 7:45 this morning.

Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, who is trying to survive the recall, and Schwarzenegger's Republican rivals have criticized him for speaking mostly in generalities since announcing his candidacy Wednesday.

I'm shocke! How DARE Arnold wait so long to spell out every tiny detail!

Arnie's obviously not beholden to the liberals with this issue and it takes a lot of guts due to the inevitable charges from the Demonrats of throwing out the term 'racist', etc. but there is no excuse for the Demonrats attempting to sell this country away in regards to people who enter this country illegally and take services that are paid for by our hardworking citizens. I wish Republicans would point out these kind of issues more in regards to the political pimps the Demonrats are.

But Democrats were quick to jump on the disclosure as a chink in the action hero's armor.

But, This republican was quick to jump on his liberal policies on liberal social issues. Such as.

Abortion

Gay rights

Gun Control

Just to name a few!

Why can't we conservatives seem to look for someone who can not only balance a budget but, also has some moral social POLICIES?

Thanks to this kind of people picking we ended up with the a Supreme Court that done more damage to this country then all the liberals combined.

Picking winners is not a great republican asset. They win short term but, lose long term. Arnold is an example.

Lets not tell me he's only running for governor and that will nor influence the moral deacay of this nation. If he can collect money in New York he can influence policy also.

Would AP have written the headline or would Sandra Marquez have written it? Or someone else, say the local news source?

The GOP-backed Proposition 187...

Didn't this win by 2:1? You don't get that kind of return in California by Republicans alone.

THIS KIND OF STUFF HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND RARELY REPORTED

Father And Son Arrested, Officers Hurt In Healdsburg Fracas

HEALDSBURG, CA - Healdsburg police today said a father and his 17-year-old son were arrested Wednesday night for assaulting officers who tried to break up a crowd of underage drinkers. Officials said the crowd grew to 25-30 people after Sgt. Kevin Young pepper-sprayed the 17-year-old who allegedly tried to leave the scene with alcohol. An emergency request for mutual aid was broadcast when the crowd became loud and hostile, police said. A total of at least a dozen Healdsburg Police Department and California Highway Patrol officers, and Sonoma County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the 10:28 p.m. fracas at 52 Ward St. According to Sgt. Tony Pinochi, the officers were training in the area with K-9 units and they also responded to the scene with about five dogs. The youth's father, Alfredo Cervantes Garcia, 38, of Healdsburg, was arrested for battery on an officer and for resisting arrest. He allegedly punched Young in the head. He later posted bail and was released from the Healdsburg jail, Pinochi said. The 17-year-old was struck in the abdomen with a baton by an officer and was treated at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa. He was then taken to Juvenile Hall for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, battery on an officer, resisting arrest and possession of alcohol. A Healdsburg police car was vandalized and a sheriff's deputy was struck with a stick during the altercation, police said. The two officers received cuts and scrapes. Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger voted for a 1994 ballot measure to deny social services to illegal immigrants, his campaign said Sunday — offering the first glimpse of the actor's stand on a major policy issue.

Wow, so did 60% of California!

Fox News Alert: David Asman is speaking with Claudia Cowan as the camera shows Schwarzenegger at this NY event.

Claudia characterized Schwarzenegger as supporting the "anti-immigrant" measure, and then repeated that it would have denied services to "immigrants", although, she said, Arnold is an immigrant.

David Asman then pointed out it was anti ILLEGAL immigrant services, then he said "though it was perceived as anti-immigrant".

This article has had 3 different titles. The liberal press thinks this is bad news so they repackage it via the title, and then send it back into the news. It's not bad news.

On the contrary, Schwarzenegger will get more votes by doing this then lose.

OMG. I heard from JOHN FUND at the NFRA/CRA conventions this weekend that Arnold came out AGAINST PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION and FOR PARENTAL CONSENT FOR ABORTIONS!!!!!!! However, the gun control issue is still up in the air.

At any rate, I'm voting for Tom McClintock, but it looks like Arnold is going to walk away with this thing and maybe that won't be the end of the world after all.
