Soros is a hedge fund guy... meaning he is short on stocks. He gets richer if the economy goes to hell.

Re your # 1....
He [Soros] is portrayed as someone ... who can be offended if a leader of a country where he is involved philanthropically is insufficiently subservient; who will consort with an autocratic regime in order to see his programs carried out; and who is intent on imposing his influence generally on an ever-expanding area of the world.

I guess the DemocRATs who were preaching "campaign reform" have no problem accepting a $10 million contribution. Watch them go postal when a conservative contributes that much to the Republicans.

I still remember when "progressives" were called what they actually were: communists, Trotskyites and Marxist-Leninists.

Looks like Soros doesn't like his tax dollars being spent to rebuild Iraq and maybe he feels that Bush is making the the whole country pay for the gains of the Halliburton country club.
Bush is one of the biggest spenders ever...and the spending should have been on-shores to benefit US citizens, not some iraqi...current estimate is 600 Billion to rebuild Iraq, meanwhile $7.5B/yr headstart program is gutted here.

... multibillionaire George Soros is committing $10 million to a new Democratic-leaning group ... And the Democratic party is the party of the little guy. Yeah. Right.
