Anti-Arnold Radio Ad: Nazi Suggestions (vanity)
8/7/03 | EA

I keep hearing Rush play an anti-Arnold radio ad, with perky Katie Couric talking in the forefront, and in the background it sounds like an army "marching." Also, I think I'm hearing voices shouting "Sieg Heil" at times, in time with the marching. Am I imagining this?

If not, it is despicable. Couric should be ashamed of herself. Yeah, I know, she's too stupid to know what "shame" is.

Anyone else hearing this?

What is the problem with after school programs anyway? I would support anything that keeps kids off of the streets and in a place where learning takes place. (Yes, I know, some schools are worse than others). We pay taxes for education but turn around and say after school is bad.

Educated kids do better in the long run and believe me, we are going to need them.

To be socially liberal and fiscally conservative is a CONTRADICTION . Liberalism's social programs suck in money like there is no tomorrow. This is not being fiscally conservative. Fine the man made it in the business world, and while in government he will be giving every single person who lives and pays state tax the raw end of the deal so his utopian ideals will gain favor. I see this as yet another attack on what is left of the conservative voice in the Republican party by those on the left. Whether they use RINO's, converts such as Mayor Bloomberg, moderates, etc. the game is quite clear, destroy conservative thought in the political arena. This is a page from Marx's and Lenin's play book.

"Would Katie ask a similar question (father being a KKK member or great-grandfather being a slaveholder or mother being a crack whore) of a Democrat? Of course not."

Proof of this is the fact that during the 2000 campaign, no one in the media mentioned the fact that Gore's father as a US Senator had voted against the landmark 1960's civil rights laws. If that had been true of Bush's father, it would have been routinely cited as proof that he couldn't be trusted on civil rights, that he was tainted, that he came from an insensitive and even racist background. .

But Arnald's Father was a member of the Nazi Party. However, he never engaged in any of the Holocaust activities.

"I was never a member of the nazi party! I'm not repsonsible! I was only following orders! Why do you persecute me? My papers are in order! I love my adopted country!"

It looks bad for California no matter who wins but it can't get much worse, can it?

I'm not so sure that it can't. For one thing, with Arnold being Republican i imagine it might be even easier to pass through liberal legislation...since where were the opposition come from? Much in the same way that it's easy for President Bush to pass spending increases (and things of that sort) whereas if Bush had been a Democrat then Republicans would have raised holy cane about it and it might not have been so easy. For another, with Arnold at the helm who knows when the next chance to elect a conservative or even moderate Republican will be. My guess is that there would have been a decent chance in this election if Arnold wasn't running, or, if not this time, then maybe the next election if things continue to get worse (as they likely will). But with Arnold as governor Californians will probably be stuck with a liberal leading them for quite a while longer - either in the form of Arnold or else the Democrat that defeats him in some future election.

The only good things i see are this: 1) some people might vote Republican, and get used to the idea of voting Republican, who otherwise would have recoiled at the thought before this...so the term Republican might become more palatable to some; 2) if Arnold turns out to be a team player it would help Bush win California, or at least put it into play, and therefore force Democrats to pump more resources into keeping California a "blue" state.

However, as i said before i have my doubts about him being a team player.

The real RINO's are those who call themselves Republicans who vote Democrat or stay at home when the GOP candidate isn't good enough- mostly the purists.

Best I can tell, Arnold shows very few connections to the party platform.

The problem is that Rush's parodies are too subtle for some.

There's more disinformation about Arnold going out there than you can shake a stick at (coming both from pro-McClintock types and Davis types). Arnold is pro-business, will eliminate Davis's tripling of the car tax, and is pro-reform- a key aspect of reining in social spending. For more, check out my site: http://www.elephantparty.com (soon to be arnoldgovernor.net) I'll be adding an Arnold FAQ soon that will address the more scurillous charges soon.
