[history]
The prosecutor in the Kobe Bryant rape case says he has slam-dunk evidence to prove the NBA superstar's guilt, it was revealed on the eve of the hoopster's first court appearance today. Eagle County District Attorney Mark Hurlbert made that strong claim in court papers arguing against making public the police affidavit written to justify Bryant's arrest early last month.

What case? We have an allegation of a crime. (Murder of Laci Peterson and her unborn child) We have a person indicted (which is not a finding of guilt)(Scott Peterson) and we have the alleged victim (Laci Peterson and her unborn child). We have an accusation of rape vs. a denial accompanied with a statement of consenual sex. (What man ever confesses that he has raped or murdered a woman ? They all lie through their teeth with their defenders. If we are fortunate we convict them.)
Exactly WHAT is there to stand up against at this point? (The William Jefferson Clinton defense)
Without a finding of guilt by a court of law, what you ask them to do is speak out against an unproven accusation. To damn the accused without basis? (Scott Peterson on line 2 could use your pro bono help)
Isn't that EXACTLY what you are doing....damning players in the NBA without basis? (Actually if they are damned it is of their own volition and there is certainly a sufficient basis)

Your post makes absolutely no sense to me...as I was NOT talking about the Laci Peterson case. I was talking about the Kobe Bryant case...

Your post makes absolutely no sense to me...as I was NOT talking about the Laci Peterson case. I was talking about the Kobe Bryant case... and I was pointing out the similarities in the same case, except the downside for Scott is that is golf game is not quite as good as Kobe's basketball game. Yet Scott has his groupies too, they mail him with their love and support all the time.

I do not see the similarities. And if you are inferring that I am a Kobe groupie, you should read back thru my posts on this thread. You are wrong....if that IS your inference.
You should also make an attempt to follow the specific issue to which I was responding which was that NBA players are not standing up for the alleged victim in THIS case.
My analogy to you would be that you appear to have brought your golf clubs to the bowling alley and you are flailing around.....making an attempt to bowl a strike..... with your 9 iron.

Kelly Clarkson auditioned for American Idol too. I never realized that Kelly Clarkson was psychologically unstable, but she did audition for American Idol, so I guess that proves it. Amen! That's the point I've been trying to make, even using Kelly Clarkson as an example!
Hey folks, I'm completely deranged. I went to modeling school when I was a teenager! /joke(mommy thought it was charm school)

I do not see the similarities.
- Both alleged crimes have alleged perps, alleged victims, and sympathetic fans.
- Both alleged perps are men who allegedly cheated on their spouses.
- Both men are liars, or should I make that alleged liars ?
- One alleged perp scores more points for his team while the other wishes he had a better golf score so he could engender more sympathy among the unwashed masses. His is not getting his fair share of celebrity appearances.
- Neither has been proven guilty in a court of law and criminal behavior = personal life in the hearts and minds of their fans.
And if you are inferring that I am a Kobe groupie, you should read back thru my posts on this thread. You are wrong....if that IS your inference.
I infer no such thing.
You should also make an attempt to follow the specific issue to which I was responding which was that NBA players are not standing up for the alleged victim in THIS case.
You did not express that issue in your response. It seemed to stand on its own two feet.
My analogy to you would be that you appear to have brought your golf clubs to the bowling alley and you are flailing around.....making an attempt to bowl a strike..... with your 9 iron.
And if you are inferring that I am a golf or bowling groupie, you should read back thru my posts on this thread. You are wrong....if that IS your inference.

Kobe's parents and wife did not show up.
They're probably embarrassed, the way they brought him up.
his lawyers should at least have handed him a tie.
You can put a tie on a pig...he's still a pig.

No comments for 4 days, how interesting. I was surprised Kobe did not run for Governor of California.....

If it weren't for Arnold, Kobe probably could have had the vote locked up.

People say they aren't unfluenced by the media, yet,If it isn't in the papers, or on TV, they don't discuss it. This thread is proof.
