Maybe this isn't 'breaking' (if not please move to the appropriate category, but it broke on a Drudge link to Yahoo this morning. Did I miss this? Was this posted a few days ago?
I cannot believe the SCOTUS is applying treaties with other countries - not just the US Constituation - and that their "perspective on constitutional law should encompass the world"!
I wonder if she and Sandra took into account the laws in third world countries, Africa, Russia, China, etc in formulating their latest opinions - or just have "learned from others"of thier choosing.

This is horrifying.
Can the demise of our free republic be afar off?

They will, of course, chose as from a chinese menu as it suits their agenda. The genius of this approach is that now Ruthie doesn't have to undergo all that tedious tweaking and shucking of our constitution to get to pre dedermined result, she merely has to find the right liberal foreign jurisdiction to justify her decisions.

So much for the US Constitution...
Who needs a legislator either... When you can make law from the bench...

The Supreme Court is looking beyond America's borders for guidance in handling cases on issues like the death penalty and gay rights, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (news - web sites) said Saturday.
You would think an United States Supreme Court Justice would know about the Constitution!!!

When I heard this on Rush, I was stunned.
I'm no "impeach 'em" person. My first option is not to try to mount some movement to remove people from office. But this clearly is an impeachable, and serious, crime against the Constitution. Any Republican with any cajones should start proceedings immediately despite what the "backlash" would be.

The worst thing in my opinion, is that the last big American rope manufacturer just went out of business.
Should have hung on a while longer. Looks like business could be picking up soon.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation
Beginning to smell like 1776.

She, and her cohorts, should be impeached and removed from the bench.
If this is allowed to stand unchallenged, don't think Congress won't pick up on it and continue to erode the Constitution.
