Bashing Bush
by Jennifer King, Managing Editor

August 1, 2003

"The Heretical Housewife"

The endless barrage of bombast continues. For weeks, months, years even - the tireless whining continues. The media and the Democrats seem to be simply unable to accept and celebrate any good news whatsoever, if the credit will append to President Bush. The recent stunning victory in Iraq? A budding “quagmire” according to the Left. The successful operation against Saddam’s odious offspring? “We should have taken them alive” whined the Dems. Representative Charlie Rangel (D-NY) even went so far as to suggest that it was against United States policy to “assassinate” foreign leaders.

Virulent hatred of George W. Bush (in Rose Garden July 29th, right) has infected the leftist’s brains - making them more porous than usual and riddling them with rampant conspiracy disease. The latest flap over Bush’s State of the Union speech provides the perfect example. Sixteen words that the President said, “shouldn’t have been included” into the speech quickly morphed into the “Bush lied” campaign - with the media pundits slyly using the loaded Watergate reference “what did the President know and when did he know it”. The ludicrousness of this effort to paint Bush as a dishonorable liar assumes even more hilarity when one considers that these same people were tireless defenders of the accomplished and congenital liar, their hero Bill Clinton. However, this effort, like those which preceded it, failed - as indicated by a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll which gives the President roughly a 60% approval rating.

The Democrats are seething in an almost hysterical panic. Really, why shouldn’t they be? In the last 9 years, they’ve lost the House, the Senate, most state governorships and a wide variety of local seats. Reflexively, and with increasing bitterness, they oppose almost everything that George W. Bush does. Good news for the country, as Rush Limbaugh is fond of saying, means bad news for leftist Democrats.

For years, with mainstream media boostering, the Left wing agenda has remained paramount, with the country sliding inexorably into a position which is more in line with socialist France and highly at odds with traditional American beliefs. Deeply committed to moral relativism and hedonism, the liberals are at odds with just about everything religious, despite the fact that 80% of Americans classify themselves as believing in God. The libs are in the unenviable position of being anti-military and anti-war, while being pro-pornography and pro-sodomy. They express compassion and empathy for convicted murderers, but none for unborn children. They continually want the United States to kowtow to the fascist tinpot dictators at the U.N. and spurn legitimate national sovereignty concerns as being plebeian. That, coupled with their virulent anti-Americanism makes them increasingly undesirable to the average American voter.

The crowd of the disaffected becomes increasingly more so. The radical Left - about 30% of the party - assumes that their problems ensue from the voter “not getting their message” and urges a further, Howard Dean-like lurch to the Left. Dean himself reminds one of the clueless George Mc Govern, who stated today on Sean Hannity’s radio show that he would cut 10% of the U.S. defense budget every year. Mc Govern further stated that, “terrorism is not a military problem”, further illustrating just how addled this old guy has become. The liberals have not learned one thing - for them it’s still September 10th.

Most Americans today are exceedingly concerned about terrorism and the personal safety of themselves and their families. The thugs in the Middle East, and in the nations that threaten us with terrorism or nuclear bombs, cannot be appeased and they cannot be negotiated with. This timeless lesson has proven itself true in every war that any country has ever been engaged in. The only thing the bully knows is force. Appeasement is considered a weakness, and the appeaser considered a sap. Yet, the Neville Chamberlains still persist, and they’re all in the Democratic Party. Bill Clinton’s halfhearted attempts to respond to terrorism did nothing but embolden Usama and Saddam, and the terrorist attacks steadily increased.

George W. Bush determined to do something about it, and he has, with stunning success. Just another reason for the lefties to hate him, which they do, viscerally and with increasing looniness. Bitterness and scorn, however, are not very appealing characteristics and George W. Bush’s sunny optimism stands in sharp contrast to the whining of the libs. Plus, Bush’s “strategerey” keeps on winning the day and making them look even more like fools.

Reportedly, one of the last communications from the late, unlamented Uday Hussein went something like this, “This time, I think the Americans are serious. Bush is not Clinton. I think this is the end.”

Kind of sums it up, doesn't it? ***

I think there is a difference, and I don't think it is hypocrisy like it is with the libs. Clinton did some things that were truly reprehensible - like having sex IN HIS OFFICE, while AT WORK, with a young impressionable girl who worked FOR HIM.

Classic feminist definition of sexual harassment, which has ruined many a man's career and reputation. At the very least, it was repugnant and abusive behavior.

Yet, the feminists were silent, because Bill protected their premiere sacrament - partial birth abortion.

Perhaps another puff of whatever you are smoking will clear your head.

klinton deserved (and still deserves) a million times more "bashing" than he's received. The "conspiracies" associated with the liar in briefs' public "service" (he surely gave a new meaning to that term) were real crimes excused by the lapdog press (his ultraliberal fan club) and others (you perhaps) who have not realized that the "sixties" are waaay over.

Your baseless comments are simply more typical liberal equivocation!

The problem with Clinton is that the LAW caught up with him. Unfortunately with his corrupt minions at the Justice Department, he was not convicted for many of his crimes. His entire cabinet conspired to lie, cheat, rob, and diminish the Constitution at every turn. He/she are SCUM. 'Nuff said.

Why do you care if anyone hates Bush?

It usually helps in a fight if your opponent loses control. The Dims are so angry right now they can't think straight, and keep making mistakes like, hey, lets bash Bush on national security, or we lost in 2002 because we weren't liberal enough. I hope they stay good and angry.

Oh, I'm not at all concerned with the Bush bashing in the media, because I know it's lies.

My question is why do they hate him more than Reagan?

And I think the answer is, because in many ways he is a far bigger threat than Reagan ever was: Bush has the potential to totally deconstruct the modern Democratic Party, and they know it. In the next election he'll gain some blacks, gain some Hispanics, and gain some Jews. These won't be landslide numbers, but if he merely gets 15% of the black vote and 38-40% of the Hispanic vote, it will be a crippling blow not just to the top of the ticket, but all the way down.

It seems that your name represents what you intend to do - run.

The left hates all the opposition, period! That may be morals, the church, the conservatives, the Republican Party, whatever. Their arguments cannot stand the light or decent debate. They are liars and must be by nature.

They hate some opposition more than others, depending upon the effectiveness. That is why they hated Reagan and why they hate Bush even more. He is eating their lunch.

This is my theory for the left's irrational hatred of GWB:

They continue to insist that he "stole" the election. Anyone who can read the US and the FL Constitutions knows that it was the left who tried to steal the election. Not only did they lose, but they know they were in the wrong besides.

Everytime they see or hear Bush - and you have to try awfully hard not to be exposed to the President of the United States if you are in the US - they are reminded that not only did they sell their souls, but they sold them for nothing.

I was not a fan of Dubya's "get along" approach when he entered the White House, however, I must admit that this "rope a dope" game plan has worked to perfection. Why even today, Senator Hollings displayed the classless behavior of the democrats at a time he should have just left with a pinch of honor. What a discusting way to leave public service.
The nation saw just how "small" the rats were at the Wellstone memorial and somehow they manage to build on that devastating image by the hour.

>This is no differant then all the Clinton bashing that went around during the 90's. You could not turn on AM radio without hearing the evil(s) of Clinton policy or flip the TV without some sort of bashing.

Troll Alert

>Also I think the media has been very kind to Bush

Remember Bob Packwood, forced to resign because of men in his own party? He kissed a couple of women I think was the worst thing they could come up with. Clinton exposed himself to a state employee half his age. There is no comparison.

Clinton was not bashed in the sense you write, he was caught in a web of lies and deceit that he met with more lies and deceit, but you know that.
To say this, and to add that the media has been kind to Bush shows your true colors, you are a liberal socialist democrat kid who hasn't a clue what you are talking about, and you are only here to try to cause trouble. Give it up, you ain't in your league.
