[history]
The Treasury Department rejected a request from senators Tuesday and refused to release a classified list of Saudi individuals or organizations suspected of financing terrorist groups.
A Treasury spokesman, Rob Nichols, said a department official misspoke when he told senators last week the list was unclassified, which would mean it was not restricted information.

Levine and Pryor put everything above our war on terrorism. I am ashamed of them. If they were told it was a mistake, that the information is classified (AND WITH OBVIOUS GOOD REASON) then to politicize this to attempt to build distrust in our nation regarding our war on terrorism is PATHETIC.
I am begining to dispise the democrats more with every breath I take.

What is NEVER posted or mentioned in news stories...
It is NOT the actual information that is classified as much as the fact that we HAVE the information!
In many cases, if the "other" parties know that we have a specific piece of information, they can figure out real quick HOW we got it.
Please do not ask for specifics on this one though.

Leaky Leahy used up what little was left of the Senate's reputation for discretion. Did they actually think they wouldn't pay a price for this?

If Bush were president in '41, Americans would have heard of how a "few rogue pilots" had hijacked the navy and traditions of a valuable trade partner and Hirohito would have been invited to Crawford for backslapping and BBQ.
I believe Sen. Shelby on this one.
