August 4, 2003 -- The woman accusing Kobe Bryant of rape tearfully told a bellhop minutes after the alleged attack that that she had just been "forced to have sex" with the NBA superstar, according to a new report. Friends and co-workers of the accuser told Fox News correspondent Rita Cosby that the 19-year- old hotel worker's clothing was torn when she spoke with the bellhop.

Drudge was talking about a video of Ben Affleck (JLO's fiance). Apparently he had visited a "strip club". or some such establishment, where he enjoyed some "lap dances".
He was also enjoying female companionship, and JLO wasn't there.

I must admit to being puzzled by this. How do we have direct or near-direct quotes from the bellman if he's not talking to reporters?

He would have given his statement to police most likely on July 1. The police have a record of his account, as does the DA, the defense, court filings, etc. There are sources galore other than his own mouth to a reporter's ear.

Also the girl, in telling her story to friends early on, (remember, the gag order was just issued), probably told them the story.

But I will say, that Luke Bray's account did say that she drove home alone. So he either didn't know the facts or the bellhop story is a load of bunk. However, it appears various media are doing independent verification, unlike the Bray account. Also, the way it was recounted in the article about Bray, it could be the reporter assuming because it is not a quote from him.

Maybe 'looking the other way' is an attractive selling point to their celebrity clientele, but I certainly wouldn't want to stay there.

I'd bet most places that cater to the Hollyweird crowd, like around Aspen/Vail, does its best to keep celebrity misbehavior quiet - even if state or federal laws were broken.

After all, the local sheriff is not going to give you a $100 tip for overlooking that dime bag left in the lavatory garbage, is he? Oliver Stone, Steven Spielberg and friends are not coming back to your establishment if you don't know how to keep your mouth shut.

Why do you keep listing things that have NOT been proved?

So he can rub it in if they turn out to be proven...like he's doing now. (which is OK by me...:^)...)

I read a couple of days ago that the defendant's team has Private Investigators, no doubt searching for anything they can find, which could prove useful to their case.

Do you think the DA's office isn't doing that?

Because Pam Mackey, one of his attorneys, said she's seen the evidence.

(Needless to say, she says it doesn't prove the allegation.)

She may have seen the DNA stuff; they have to show her that; but I would bet my house they haven't given them everything they have. Hell, they haven't even had an arraingment yet. He's not even bound over for trial.

That doesn't answer my question. How do you know what's true and what's not? You said his statements are untrue. I want to know how you think you know that. Your "walking in the dark" statement appears to apply to you.

And frankly, who cares if she did. But I don't think she did.
