It costs more than $150,000 a year for many of these guys to stay alive, so they can continue to infect others before it catches up to them...Is there any definitive source for the total cost to the taxpayers of treating aids patients? Not the individual aids patient, but the cumulative yearly total?

I am not a homophobe, I just don't tolerate perversion! Unfortunately, the new drugs whcih are extending the lives of these perverts, are costing the american taxpayer, not them! It costs more than $150,000 a year for many of these guys to stay alive, so they can continue to infect others before it catches up to them... Actually it costs nowhere near $150,000/year for HIV/AIDS meds...it's closer to $10,000 which is cheaper than the cost of meds for people living with many other conditions.
Furthermore, it is far more cost efficient to society for these people to remain healthy contributing members of society who work and pay taxes..than it is to have them as disabled dependants with diseases that cost far more to treat.
But admit it..you're not nearly as interested in the cost to society as you are in seeing people you hate suffer and die for their sins.

"I am not a homophobe, I just don't tolerate perversion! "
But, you do!! "Homophobe" is a made up word that faggots use. It is like the commies used the made up word "McCarthyism."
Anything other than absolute supprt (as a parent might) is met by a fairy attack, "That's homophobic." The word is meant to be an absolute defense that puts you on the defensive with the affirmative obligation of proving that you are not.
When you use their language, you tolerate the perversion. Worse, you support it. The word "gay," for example, is a euphemism for their deviance and is, in effect, a recruiting word. If the New York Times uses "gay" as a descriptive term in a headline (as they have, many times), it is not a word that normal people should be using.
Before long, the faggots will be suing us for the damage done by their perversion and because we haven't done enough to protect them from the negative effects of their deviance.

I hadn't heard that one. But psycho-emotive reasoning like that sounds more like something Chrissy Matthews or Paulie Begala would say.
Sadly, quite a few anti-Catholic Freepers employ this argument as well, and they really should know better.

Somehow I suspect you are the last person who should lecture anyone on what it means to be "normal".
The sort of hysterical over the top rhetoric we see in your post probably does more to promote the gay agenda than anything gay rights organizations could ever do.
Sometimes I wonder whether posts like yours aren't really pro-gay inventions designed to make those who oppose the gay agenda look like bigoted and homophobic hatemongering idiots.

This is a message to all you gay men out there (ok, well, there probably aren't many on freep, but who knows):
It is your CIVIL RIGHT now (thanks to a recent SCOTUS decision) to bugger each other. And I say, it is your civil DUTY, as well as a national obligation, to exercise your new-found freedoms. Wear protection? That's up to you. All I can say is - sometimes you just gotta say "What the f". If it feels good, do it. If you catch my drift. The "aids threat" is probably overstated - ask any african.

It would seem prodent for them to change some of their habits if it is true that their life expectancy is
47. The drugs keep these guys alive, but surely they are not as productive as they could be if they didn't catch the disease.

HIV HighWhat'll you bet that this ends up being one of the nicknames of the proposed Harvey Milk school in NYC?

And all we hear from the liberal media s how wonderful it is to be 'gay"..............I don't think so, and I am sick and tired of 5% of the population shoveling it down our throats.
Young people should know the truth about that lifestyle. Instead of all the hype!
Gay "Marriage"...........Uggggggggg!
What a cruel joke.

Well, actually, the "civil right" that the USSC found was a "right to privacy" wherein sodomy was not sufficient cause to violate this right. The USSC hasn't made any ruling saying that there's a right to sodomy in public.
(Sorry, but I'm a nitpicker).

I am in health care and many gays feel that HIV and AIDS are now manageable like diabetes. Less precautions are now being taken.

Well, let's see. There are 300,000,000 people in this country. About 5% of them are gay, at absolute most. Five percent of three hundred million is 1.5 million.
Something is very wrong with the math. Consider 1.5 million aids victims times $150,000 medical cost per year. That equals a rather astounding $225 Billion per year. What is wrong with the math? Surely the cost is a minor fraction of that number.

Interesting. I've made modifications to my diet specifically to reduce the risk of diabetes. "Manageable" or not, I still don't want it, and HIV is even easier for me to avoid that diabetes.

As has already been pointed out, 5% of 300 million is 15 million. That is what is wrong with the math.
