Judge: Ringling circus must face elephant cruelty charges

The nation's largest circus will have to defend itself against charges that it mistreats elephants that perform under the big tent.

A federal judge has declined to dismiss a lawsuit by animal welfare groups claiming Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus has abused Asian elephants in violation of the Endangered Species Act.

Of course, being eaten (or half eaten) alive by a host of hungry predators in the wild is kinda' ok, right PETA? Don't you people have jobs?

Maybe somebody should watch PETA of wrong doing and have them charged.

If you want your kid to see elephants at the circus, you better bring them this year. It's really only a matter of time now.

I don't see where PETA is mentioned as one filing the suit. I think the interesting part is the "former Ringling Bros. elephant trainer". He should know. If the elephants are being abused, it should stopped.

He dismissed the Wrestling Coaches lawsuit regarding Title IX.
