Hmmm ... explains why there's so much Dem interest in restoring voting rights to felons.

said that the party's image has regressed since former president Bill Clinton And they still listen to the rapist and his chubby "wife." Go figure. They have that left wing death style choice syndrome. They have no where to go but further down.

[Penn said his polling indicates that since Clinton left office in 2001, more Americans believe Democrats are the party of big government and higher taxes...]
This demonstrates that, post 9-11, the liberal media has been unable to focus national attention on the benefits of dims vs 'pubs vis a vis domsetic policy. Even though it was the Republican congress that ultimately restrained dimo spending during clinton's term, most citizens probably remember only the bent-impeached one's statement "the era of big government is over...".
We have so much work to do.

To give some perspective how far the Dems (and the GOP for that matter) have shifted to the left, Henry "Scoop" Jackson was one of the two Democratic Senators from Washington state thirty years ago. Now, we have Patty "Osama" Murray to take his place. Henry "Scoop" Jackson would not be able to be elected in this state today either as a Republican or a Democrat and he would probably be considered "dangerous."

Democrats Lack Crucial Support to Beat Bush What the Democraps really lack is any kind of coherent mission. All they do is whine and cry about how bad the other guy is. So where's their plan? (It's probably in Mein Kampf or something written by Lenin.)
What's funny here is that the DemoRats think that they have a marketing problem. They figure this is just a temporary setback. Heck, it's nothing a good advertising campaign can't fix.

Dramatic erosion in support among white men They're the most discriminated people in America thanks to the Democrats "division for votes" propaganda.
Why should the average white male vote for a party that hates him?

The Democrat primary will feature a knock-down drag out battle between the "centrist" DLC and the far left. In both cases, Bush will likely win in 2004. If the far left assumes control of the party, and doesn't even bother to mask their tax-hiking, big government, soft-on-defense agenda, 2004 will be a breakthrough year for assembling a dominant GOP constitutency for a time to come.
To: Pokey78
It won't matter in the long run.
Amost fifty percent of our persons in the USA are working for the government, union or receiving benefits from the government.
Why do you think Al Gore almost won the last election?
It will be national security that will win for Bush.
To: Pokey78
You know, I've been saying all along that Hillary! would not run in 2004. I'm about ready to change my mind on that. Look at the evidence of
three stories, all breaking the same day:
1. The DLC, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Clinton, Inc., announces this poll, and provides lots of quotes trashing just about every announced candidate on their side,
2. Hillary! -- just by coincidence, on the very same day -- announces the launch of her web site "to start rundraising for her 2006 re-election campaign".
3. Both Clintons announce that they will go out and actively campaign against the California recall, which will be very high profile for both of them. So if the recall fails, they will own Davis, lock, stock and barrel. If the recall succeeds, they still get lots of brownie points from California Democrats for giving it the good old college try.
Anyone who thinks all these things happened on the same day by coincidence is smoking something. And based on the above, I am now officially neutral on the question of Hillary!'s intentions in 2004.

Rendell also challenged the findings of Penn, who claimed Democrats were at a 50-year low ebb. Citing the election of Democratic governors in 2002 in states such as Michigan, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas and Pennsylvania, Rendell said, "I think the talent bank is beginning to be replenished." Meet Arkansas Governor Jimmie Lou Fisher, Democrat...
No, wait, that's Mike Huckabee, Republican. I guess Rendell is wrong [I'm sure it's just a case of the idiots at the WaPost not knowing that AR is the abbreviation for Arkansas and not Arizona-- which indeed has a Democrat Governor.].
