[history]
The rule-busting California gubernatorial recall election took a turn for the bizarre Friday as author-columnist Arianna Huffington appeared ready to kick off an independent run to replace Democratic Gov. Gray Davis, and her ex-husband, former Rep. Michael Huffington, prepared to run as a Republican.

With all of these candidates, who is Davis going to hit?The dirt machine will be working overtime. Every P.I. in the state will have work. Paging Anthony Pellicano...

That is why we need multiple candidates!
We need some on the Democrats side also!
Seems to me his strategy is to frighten the populace about the terrible things the Right Wing Republicans might do!

That is why we need multiple candidates!Don't worry, by the time we get done, we may need exponents to express trhe number of candidates!

"Is this what made Arianna looney or was she always that way?" She became loony soon after Mike came out. It seems logical that there is a connection.
This is really weird stuff! Arianna used to be conservative, and fairly smart. Then she became the Scott Ritter of pundits! Nowadays I treat her columns as if they were written by Molly Ivins (skip past them so fast that my eyes can't resolve the headlines).
There should be a rule against making a reputation as a conservative and then going off the deep end as a 'Rat. If Mo Dowd, on the other hand, were somehow to become a fire-breathing America-loving conservative I don't believe that the NYT would keep her on for long. Arianna should get the same treatment.
Now the left thinks they have the anti-Arnold, with her European accent and all -
"I'll see you your Austrian - and raise you a Greek."

Oh yes!!!!! The democrats would just love to have Condit for governor! Bring back wonderful memories of Clinton for them!
Huffington could also bring back fond memories of Gov Moonbeam!
Oh what a lovefest this is going to be!

I heard Michael Savage on his radio show Fri. p.m. - said he was considering running - even has his 4pt platform ready. Now that would be a hoot.

Both Huffingtons are a joke, one a not gay homosexual, discontent with everthing in his life from childhood forward except for the deep satisfaction derived from sex with men whom he manipulated in social setting to feel them out. To see if they are receptive. I believe he stated that he hates politics and hoped that Di-Fi would beat him in his bid for her congressional seat. He got his wish, for which he blew $28 million. He could have saved all that money and stayed home. Just possibly someone else could have unseated the Hag from the Bay area.
And his totally irrelevant and politically confused exwife, Arrianna, the wannabe author of biographies of all the rich and powerful which will keep her in the social swim for decades. Otherwise she could be easily overlooked and forgotten. One can only hope!
Throw into the mix Gary Condit who has his poor dead looking wife sueing everyone who uttered her name in context with a phone call between herself and Shandra. They have to earn a living somehow!
I'll bet Grey's eminent fall from power makes the Condit kids giggle with glee. The very thought that their daddy could take Grey's office from him is a dream come true! Gary has a built in campaign staff, how fortunate. But, somehow, I don't think the immage of Shandra being treated shabbily, or even possibly offed by this weak kneed self indulgent narcissistic politician will ever go far enough away that he will hold office for which one should have integrity and gravitas, which he so glaringly lacks. He is still an embarrassment to everyone. He has used his family shamelessly.
So, Go Arnie, Go!

"Maybe Scott Peterson could run the state from his jail cell."
Slogan - 'Scott Peterson - at the People's command!'
Campaign pledges - "Peterson pledges to start cuts at the top - Governor's Mansion to have power shut off....Peterson pledges to lower price of Fishing Licenses."
'Peterson - A cut above the rest'.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
Yeah. Condit for governor. (LOL) The democRAT party is headed for a world-class train-wreck. It's unable to recognize low ethical standards and blind eye toward corruption will ultimately kill it.

"Scott Peterson -- A Head and Torso Above the Competition!"
"Peterson For Gov -- Assured Lower Birth Rates For CA"
"Scott Peterson For Gov -- The Man The 'People' Most Want!"
