"I really dont know how long its been," she said of her last trip. "Too long." Go back, Hillary. Stay there and bake cookies for your "extended family." Find the love you never got from your father or your husband. With all the admiring fans you have there in your second home, your TRUE home, why would you want to ever LEAVE? Follow your heart and make Arkansas your home once again. Make little Sophie happy. You could be curator of the museum and wear a uniform!

Oh please! Don't wish that witch on US! Took us long enough to get rid of them in the first place. As it is we will never recover from the damage they've done.

I see a Republican candidate winning easily who is serious and focused on what they will do, not on attacking Hillary. Attacks on Hillary play to her sleazy tabloid publicity and for a reason that escapes most conservatives, this type of distractive publicity brings out sympathizers to her agenda. I believe you're right. The Republican candidate should be serious and focused. That is what we want in a leader. Leave the sleazy tabloid attacks to us FReepers! :o)

Good points. There has to be some discussion of how to defeat Hillary's victim profile.
We also have to understand why it is that she is able to get so far to begin with. It can't be because she is "so successful, so strong, so smart" as her sycophants in the public eye like to repeat.
I am hoping she fails because people realize how polarizing she is and how unscrupulous her agenda is. Better yet, I'd like to see her fail because people like and trust the Republican more. That's better than voting against her personal traits which many find worse than despicable.
As far as Republicans and their behavior, I remember Rick Lazio was quite clear on her carpet bagging in New York, how she was unwilling to answer questions and so on. I understand that NYers are upset with Lazio but I am not sure why.
So I don't see how Republicans can do any better by attacking her. I think they should ignore her.
I repeat, ignore the woman.
When she attacks Republicans, let them counter from the defensive. She will be seen as the offender. As an offender she can't be a victim.

Republicans counter from the defensive all the time. The result is compromise and those that master the art of compromise such as Trent Lott.
The only reason to not attack Hillary is because the press will pounce on it.
Guess what:
THE PRESS WILL ALWAYS SUPPRT HILLARY, AND WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO BAD-MOUTH HER OPPONENTS.
This is true whether or not the GOP is on the defensive or on the attack. So the only thing that can happen by attacking from the defensive is compromise and bad press.
Instead of trying to appease the media, attack Hillary. Keep pounding at her. Don't let her up. She will slip up and hurt herself. Her "husband" may have been able to sideslip pratfalls, but she is not as slick as he is. Attack her, I say.

Ok. Go ahead and try out your strategy right here. Suppose she is running right now. Propose what should be said against her that will persuade more voters to vote Republican. Give it your best shot.

"I always tell people that I am not running, but I am hoping we will have a change in the White House," Clinton said in a telephone interview Thursday. "Ill be working hard to elect a Democrat, and hopefully well get that done in 2004."She doesn't need to run in 2004. Along about next May, she'll just call up McAulife and say, "I want it," and Terry will make it so. You read it here first.

She's a liberal. How much more ammunition do you need? Mrs. Clinton, how do you explain your waffling support for the war in Afghanistan? Mrs. Clinton, how did you feel about the Hussein brats' morgue photos being broadcast? Did that offend you more than the picture of this aborted baby? What makes the lives of those thugs more valuable than this child's, Mrs. Clinton? C'mon Hostage, you know as well as I do that the best way to beat a liberal is to make him think.

"I always tell people that I am not running, but I am hoping we will have a change in the White House," Clinton said in a telephone interview Thursday. "Ill be working hard to elect a Democrat....." As will America's enemies abroad. I wonder how the DemocRATS will attempt to launder their illegal foreign campaign donations this time. Will they try it through Buddhist Temples again --- or will the radical Islamic Mosques be one of the alternative front organizations?

Putting a stupid bumper sticker on my car, or wearing a special lapel pin changes nothing. And mindlessly supporting what I consider to be bad poicy does not make me more patriotic.Wow, did you pick the right nick.
If that's what you meant, that is what you should have said. What you actually said was this:
I think Bush will look beatable, unless he finds a convenient excuse to invade Iran and stir up more false patriotism
You implied that "false patriotism" was a Bush strategy and that he would find an "excuse...to stir [it] up..." Don't blame anyone for interpreting your words fairly.

No person/persons that I am aware of are spreading any kind of false patriot displays or notions.
The only people who complain about it are the Bush haters.
In my view, much of the increased patriotic display is largely due to the knowledge that the lack of it contributed to the deaths of thousands of GI's during the Nam era.
People now realize that the lack of support kills!
Those people that suddenly displayed the flag and wore the pins are only expressing their support for our administration and/or our GI's in uniform. Many are going a step further and are honoring the past veterans, and this brings tears to my eyes.
I suggest that if you have nothing supportive to say, that you remain silent on the issue.
Don't be surprised that you are criticized if you post negative statements as you did.
