Making the world a better place, one beer at a time.

For each and every one of you, your own appreciation of beer is something deeply personal. The appreciation of Beer is also something that is universal. Beer Church is about the relationship of the two; your personal affection for beer, and humanity's overwhelming love of Beer. Beer Church is a celebration of Beer (with a capital "B"). Beer Church represents the "something larger than yourself" to which you belong by virtue of your very personal love for beer. Beer Church is about the one thing that we all have in common, regardless of all of our other differences. Something we all believe in. Beer.

Any gender, any sexual preference, any nationality, any shoe size or hair style; beer drinkers of the world are all part of something much larger than themselves. They are part of a loosely connected, diverse social group of countless individuals all around the world, with at least one thing in common. Beer. And sure, someone might be able to say the same thing about cheese, or coffee, or many other things, but we didn't. We said it about beer. And because you know the difference, you are one of us. You are Beer Church.

At last count, Beer Church has over 40,000 registered members from 26 different countries around the world.

Just imagine what we can do! The Beer Church Mission Statement

Charity - We intend to expose Beer enthusiasts to, and organize them for the benefit of, various charitable, civic and compassionate causes, offering our members the opportunity to contribute collectively or individually. Although we are primarily a local organization in the Seattle, WA area, we attract the attention of beer enthusiasts around the world with our Web site. We intend to provide an example of the good things that can be done. We believe that beer's worldwide popularity can and should be used to band people together for the benefit of society as a whole.

Civic Responsibility - We believe in promoting responsible fun. Beer should be part of a recipe for positive social activity, but is too often used as part of a recipe for disaster. We urge everyone to be personally responsible all of the time. Anything else is disrespectful of yourself and your community.

The Web site - It is the goal of Beer Church to provide a fun, informative and useful Web site for persons all around the globe who are interested in and passionate about beer. The Web site is an evolving expression of our membership's needs and wishes. All suggestions will be welcomed and sincerely considered so that we may better serve the Beer enthusiasts of the world.

Welcome to the Beer For The Homeless website

This site is dedicated to the thousands of men and women in America who have been relegated to the status of children, regardless of their age, by the do-gooders of society who believe that merely because a person has no home they should therefore not be allowed to drink beer. There are plenty of organizations that will provide food, clothing, education, even shelter to the homeless. But every one of them refuses to treat their "clients" as mature adults and the vast majority of them even have rules that forbid the legal consumption of alcohol. What is it about these otherwise well-meaning people that they would refuse to treat their fellow human beings as mature adults? Merely because one has no home does not mean that one is somehow a second-class citizen and is no longer allowed the simple pleasures that society allows to those "lucky" enough to put a roof over their head. So, that is where Beer For The Homeless steps up and strikes a blow for equality and human rights. Through this website, we will raise money to purchase and distribute beer to those who want it. Good old fashioned 100% American beer. The kind our fathers and grandfathers drank when defending this great country around the world to keep the principles of democracy and freedom of choice strong and alive.

Hey, beer is the root cause of civilization. Nomads learned to come back to the same place and learned to cultivate grain. Why? In order to make beer, PTB (Praise the Brewer). ;^)

I'm a member of the Unorganized Reformed Third Church of Beer. We don't consider Light (turn head, spit) to be beer. The heretics, who drink that poison shall descend into the hell of warm, watery, light beer. Pah!

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed - Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.'"

As an atheist, I must say that I don't believe in churches, in general. However, this is one I can fully support.

LOL! I didn't even catch that. Looks like it.

Actually, when I first read your response, I thought you wrote "shirt" because the response was just above others on my personal list from the "Kate Hudson" thread where there is a picture of Kate in a see through shirt. I read too fast sometimes.

The best part is that you don't have to convert from your own religion in order to join!
