Support Fisher House
The Fisher House program is a unique private-public partnership that supports America's military in their time of need by providing homes close to a loved one during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

There are currently 31 houses located on the grounds of every major military medical center and several VA medical centers. These houses will play a critical role in caring for casualties from Operation Iraqi Freedom. Donations will be used to help meet the cost of lodging for a family whose loved one was injured in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom. There is a limit to the number of families who can stay in a Fisher House and program is committed to help provide lodging for families who must find commercial lodging, because the Fisher House is full.

Unfortunately, my dream car is still in pieces.
Mechanicals are done. Paint & body are done. Now for top & interior (and time to do it.)

So, in the meantime, I'll just hafta cruise around in the ol' Stoodybaker.

About the bikes.
I was at the local Moto Guzzi dealer in Prescott the other day. I told the dealer that I had passed a new Moto Guzzi Titanium going the other way on my way into town.

He said: "Oh yeah. It just left here. She is a test rider for Harley Davidson."

Cool.

Good morning all. Good morning to our Military and our Allied Military. WOW! Gee! OMG! Gosh! Neat! Golly! Kewl!

What a wonderful thread. This was a very neat idea. I am sure some of it will bring back fond memories for many.

I must say I was a little nervous when checking out bentfeather's selection. It took me a while to recognize Barry's voice. I would have been shocked if it had been some one else!

And, Mojo, I was NOT surprised by your selection (car & music). Nor by Burka man's.

Longcut..... I hate to break it to you, but now that you have Mini-cut and Beagle-cut.... you are going to need a family vehicle. Camaros are too small inside.

And, I think never4get made the right decision. I'd rather be some place like that then on the road with so many drivers.

Oh, I see some new faces here I must go and greet. Back in a bit.

Today's FEEBLE attempt at humor:

Two cowboys are riding along a trail in the mountains when
they suddenly hear tom toms beating very close to them.

"Oh! That doesn't sound good," one says to the other.

As soon as the words were spoken, an Indian jumps out from
behind a tree and said, "Yeah, our regular drummer is out
sick."

Good Morning everyone. Good Morning, troops.
You guys are sure up early! I think I'll stick with getting up at 7.
Does anyone know where tomkow6 is? He hasn't posted his feeble attempt at humor yet.
Oh well. Here is my hopelly-less-feeble-than-his attempt at humor. Normally I'm supposed to wait for him to post first but he's not here. Since today's a car day, I will do a joke about cars. Here it goes:

A man approched a stop sign but he barely slowed down, let alone stopped and he went right through it.
What he didn't know was that a policeman was watching the intersection and saw him go through it.
The policeman pulled him over.
Policeman: License, registration, and proof of insurance.
Driver: Before I give it to you tell me what you pulled me over for.
Policeman: Watch your tone mister, you ran through the stop sign back there.
Driver: I slowed down, what the heck is the difference?
The policeman pulled the guy out of his car and took his night stick and started beating the guy on the head and shoulders with it. After about a minute he said,
"Now do you want me to just slow down or stop?"
