President Bush, flanked by Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Gen. Richard B. Myers, and U.S. Administrator in Iraq, Paul Bremer, spoke this morning in the White House Rose Garden regarding the killing of the monstrous sons of Saddam Hussein, Uday and Qusay yesterday, and the positive effect it would have on the Iraqi people, and citing the great progress that has been made by the Coalition Forces in Iraq.
Later in the morning he welcomed former President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, and Argentine President Nestor Kirchner in the Oval Office. He also found time to honor the Presidential Medal of Honor recipients in the East Room, including Vaclav Havel, Van Cliburn, John Wooden, Roberto Clemente, Dave Thomas and Charleston Heston.
There are lots of pictures today, so enjoy your ample Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Dave Thomas (of the Wendy's fame) passed on fairly recently.

He's bought me a couple of those chains
Typical - man being practical, buying a gadget; woman having other priorities (looking good?). LOL ...

Are you talking to yourself again? Time for your meds, Mom. Jeez, do I always have to remind you?
To: homeschool mama
Give it a ring - maybe I will be able to hear it.
Nah - not much chance - I'm half deaf ... oh well.

Yes, it was......hopefully not so oblique that it was puzzling! All in good fun, Cow! :o)
I just sent Eric another box of goodies today. The post office ladies and I are getting to be good friends!
This time I sent him Gator-Aide drink boxes, Vanilla Cokes, Chai Latte, granola bars, Oreos, chips and homemade banana bread.......which I hope isn't hard as a rock by the time he gets it.
(I don't think he particularly likes banana rocks.....)

You're half deaf and I'm half blind. What a pair! LOL

He died last year, I think. He had serious heart problems for quite a while.
The first Wendy's was in Columbus, so we sort of claim this sweet man as our own!

Thank you for the excerpt.
In a post earlier today (concerning the RNC's release of Gephardt's record) I mentioned something to the effect that W has truly shown what makes a great leader.
I don't doubt for a minute our president's sincerity. However, being a leader means choosing your battles wisely and setting aside partisanship when you can do so without compromising your personal values and when doing so is what it takes to move your vision forward. But what I failed to say in that other post is that I also believe that our president is not -- and will not become -- somebody who deviates from what he believes is best for our nation. I believe he'll remain steadfast regarding Iraq and our continued war on terrorism, despite to what extremes the left tries to go to manufacture lies and distortions about those efforts!

Nothing like a tanned and fit, handsome President as the subject for a good photo!

Yeah - maybe it will cost us $40 M to get rid of him, but it's cost us $40 B to have him. Small price to pay.

bingo.

I thought that when I saw how many functions he had today. His physical (and emotional) stamina are quite remarkable!
