There it is. Someone has finally come out with a 5.56mm upper receiver assembly for the AR15/M16. Yes, it's a little more money than that tricked out thumbhole AK sporter. But it's certain to be on many of our "wish lists". Click on the source link to check it out. Happiness is indeed a warm gun - especially one that's belt fed and weighs about 8 pounds.
Take that, gun grabbers! FMCDH

They have been "announcing" this for years.
When it is verified that they have shipped one (for $3000), let us know.
I expect that there will be cheaper units out there from competitors first, before Ares ships.

Ummm... what exactly is the point of a belt-fed ar15? Aside from looking cool? :).

Just as long as it doesn't have a bayonette lug, it should be OK.
To: 11B3
Feinswine is probably ordering one right now. ....before she decides to legislate against it.

Hmmm, I wonder if Kalifornia would count a belt feed as a magazine that exceeds ten rounds in capacity.

Aside from looking cool? :).Is any furter justification needed and besides, gun grabbers positively HATE them.
Been thinking of a belt fed 1919A4 in 8mm myself. Ammo is $60/1000.

While you're here, take a minute to check out the weapons at this US Army site - there's a ton of fun stuff in here. (I'd post them here, but it's a .pdf file that I don't know how to get individual pages out of.) The weapons are in the first 10 or so pages out of 43 - but all of it is interesting.
