"and the shooter was the councilman's desk." For your summary, dead. That's so Beauty and the Beast (disney version).

I recall a black soldier was killed in early days of current Iraq war and the father held up a pic of his son and said see this BUSH, his blood is on your hands or something to that effect.

Very sad exploitation of the families grief by the media. Similar here

Othniel Bogz Askew to Clarence Askew. I don't know why.

Wouldn't you have changed YOUR name if it was Othniel Bogz/Boaz -- especially if you were running for elected office?

Did you know that the population of the City of New York is greater than the combined populations of Philadelphia, Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Ft. Lauderdale? What works in otherplaces may not be practical in New York City.

So your answer is to take their right away and leave them defenseless. You need to read what the founding fathers wrote on the subject before you become so willing to give up that right. They considered this right to be of great importance to the maintaining freedoms here in the US, and their reasonings are sound and have been proven correct in the histories of Europe and the rest of the world.

Limbaugh explained it today. Clinton hasn't turned over a new leaf. He's protecting his legacy because they're coming after him over the aspirin factory bombing and his failures to get ubl, etc. Neither bubba or hrc can be trusted. It's all about bubba.

Iran has senior AQ members and are going to hunt down more. Since when did Iran become our pal? That's a big story.

They're all trying to ride politically on this thing, like they're surfers and it's a big wave. It's really disgusting that they would use two deaths in this cheap way. But what else is new.

I thought of that father, too. He is a disgraceful human being. His son who died, was a father. And to think of that little boy hearing his grandfather saying this, makes me hope and pray that the little boy will learn not to believe everything his grandfather says, because the father died serving his nation honorably with bravery.

It's a tossup whether HRC or Bubba's a worse speaker. HRC gives pre-school presentations and bubba overuses the word "I".

Oh, but the time recently that HRC screamed which is on Laura Ingraham's radio program every night - now that was hilarious.

"FoxNews needs to get a clue and drop that dang FoxNews Alert banner when they have video or live news. It blocks a third of the tv screen."

Y'know...I've written Fox news five times since the beginning of Operation Iraqui Freedom, saying the same thing. I have stopped watching Fox when they show video, as MSNBC and CNN's TV-screen coverage is so much better.

Funny thing, each email had my full name, address and phone number, and I did not receive ONE SINGLE REPLY!

It's bizzare, you'd think even a simple form letter would be sent back to me...I sent it to viewerservices, feedback, hannity.colmes and to Roger Ailes...not one single reply back.

Oh well, don't think it'd do much good. For some weird reason, they are enamored with covering up the bottom of their video during every single filmed scene. It's lost me as a viewer during breaking news.

Charles Barron on right now. Askew was firing down at someone who was already on the floor, which led Barron to believe he was "targeting" someone. Duh.

There is also a runor now that Askew had called NY1 or someone earlier today complaining he was being "harassed" by Davis. Very strange.

He was disqualified from running.

I meant that tv news kept changing his name. Yes, Othniel is not such a great name. He's dead either way.

My tv's in the other room. I have to switch from cnn as they are doing an account of Uday and Qsay's demise. Of course, it will be sympathetic to the boys.

From Americans for a Safe Israel:

Councilman Davis has always been a very good friend to the Jewish community. He always conducted himself in a fair, and well balanced manner. He was a man of respect and integrity.

Councilman Davis was helpful in getting the Koppell Resolution passed, a resolution where the NY City Council urges Pres. Bush to declare the PLO a terrorist organization therefore allowing NYC to evict the PLO Mission. He also attended and spoke at many of the NYC demonstrations we held in support of the Koppell Resolution.

Councilman Davis also took a meaningful trip to Israel in the summer of 2002, when very few were going.

In many of my conversations with Councilman Davis, he always spoke so highly of the IDF and the Israeli people and respected their strength and courage...and realized there were many similarities between America's war on terrorism and Israel's war on terrorism.

The only system I'm aware of is the blame game.

It looks like his brother trusted his enemy. There's a lesson to be learned about trusting your enemies, a sheep in wolf's clothing scenario. Davis was too trusting for his own good and failed to size up the shooter at some point which is odd since he was a former cop.

It's called pack up the U-Haul and move if the Prozac is no longer effective

Most New Yorkers I know would only require Prozac to deal with the general boredom of being out of the city:)
