I just saw it on MSNBC. They said she was at a party a week ago, 3 days before Kobe was charged.
They said she was drinking (consumption by a minor) and playing cards, and was bragging about.....(MSNBC took out the audio at the end of sentence)
The story was confirmed by 5 people at separate places and times who were at the party and all gave a similar account of what happened.
When asked how the girl looked, the guy interviewed said she looked happy. Everyone was shocked to see her at the party given the incident.
I think someone may have even asked how hung was Kobe upon which she described with hand gestures. She seemed to be bragging according to a friend, but said she couldn't tell them what happened that night.
This just keeps getting better and better...
Nobody is trashing the girl but her so-called friends, classmates, and townies. Why do you and others keep asserting the otherwise? If you have some evidence that the defense in this case is encouraging these the townspeople to come forward with and/or make up lies about the alleged victim I suggest you post them.
So I guess that girl in Michael Irvin's case didn't actually get charged, huh? Anyway, I didn't say she would, I said there's a chance she would if she lied.
Actually, if you had read it, that was a rhetorical question which I answered was un UNLIKELY scenario.
Yeah, right. You out and out said she will crack.
Get with the program... This was not some sorta press conference for your anonymous victim. It was apparently a simple party.. and the her behavior was reported by the person who was throwing the party... and several other witnesses.
Still you're automatically assuming she was at a party. Big assumption.
That wouldn't apply in this case. There was sexual intercourse between the two of them, so outside of the unlikely prospect of some solid evidence that she consented to it, there is no way that an acquittal of Kobe would be interpreted as a false allegation on the part of his accuser.
Her friend (the one acting as a spokespersons have confirmed that she was present.
Doubtfull... Perry Mason or Matlock is going to get her to crack up on the stand and she is going to admit that she made the whole thing up? Unlikely.. SHE is the one who led the charge out of the colorado woodwork... not the other way around.
Still you're automatically assuming she was at a party. Big assumption.
It was confirmed she was at the party. There's a big something around here... but it aint an assumption.
Another "friend". Man she has a lot of friends.
Confirmed by more "friends", I bet.
We should leave race out of this....... JUST JOKING!!!
They shouldn't be made public; they can't be cross-examined.
I'm just catching up reading this thread, so I hope by now you've been told you are dead wrong on what you said above.
How can you post such disinformation?
The cops were at his hotel door 24 hours after the alleged incident and three (yes, THREE) hours later escorted him to a hospital for DNA samples to be taken. He then was allowed to go about his business until the time you refer to.
hold on there partner ... the fact that the 'victim' waited before calling it 'rape' brings into question a whole gauntlet of assorted questions. She could have just as well waited 2 weeks. Did she feel 'cheap' the next morning? Didn't Kobe call her the next day? Did she not get pregnant, and now is not going to get 18 yrs of a lavish lifestyle through child support? Was this an extortion attempt, and Kobe refused to pay? It is NOT uncommon for a man to be tried for a rape that didn't take place. Google has tons of examples.
I don't know the facts, and neither do you. We know that a nameless victim has accused Kobe Bryant of rape. Kobe Bryant must now PROVE his innocence, or go to jail. He may have already have lost millions of dollars, merely because of the accusation (whether true or false is immaterial). The girl risks NOTHING. Now, if Kobe did indeed rape the girl; I'd say that he should receive the maximum punishment allowed by law. However, celebrities are targets for extortion. Why would a young lady go to a man's hotel room in the wee hours of the morning? Did she think that a man would assume that all a young woman would want would be an 'autograph'??
If the rape occured, why did she wait? Would you wait 12 hours if you were mugged, before calling the police? Would you wait 12 hours before calling the police if you had been assaulted? Would you wait 12 hours before calling the police if your car were stolen? I have questions about the time lapse. I think they are legitimate questions. If there were not a significant time lapse before she contacted authorities... then I'd be far more likely to believe the woman carte' blanche. I mean, she was in a hotel ... she worked there. She knew what goes on in those rooms; she knew the risks, and she knew people she could call out to for help. She also knew that all she had to do was scream; and somebody would hear her. It wasn't like she was in an abandoned building.
Who ARE these people? Do they have names and faces that they are willing to disclose on screen, or will they only whisper to reporters this schtuff on the condition of anonymity? Are they any more eager to get their high school yearbook pics posted on the net and risk their dirty little secrets being revealed at every supermarket checkout stand in the free world? It's revealing how you -- and MSNBS -- give immediate credibility to these "so-called friends" when you know less about them then we know about her.
Hasn't it occurred to you that there may be people who, for whatever deep or shallow reasons, simply DON'T LIKE THIS WOMAN, and would concoct a way to sabotage a trial just as easily as perhaps you believe the woman falsely charged Kobe?
This woman auditioned for American Idol and didn't make the grade. I am a big fan of someone who DID become a top ten finalist, and on her official AI message board, people who claim to know her (there's no way to know if they do -- on the internet, no one knows you're a dog) have apparently dedicated all their free time to making sure that America hates her as much as they do. From posting fact-free accusations of cocaine possession arrests and sex acts on video to an orchestrated scheme to spread a false rumor she was kicked off the Idol tour because a joint was discovered in her purse, the malicious and jealous never rest, all in a campaign to inflict pain.
One particular hater said of the aforementioned AI finalist, "Doesn't it say something that everyone who knows her hates her?" To which I replied, "Your actions say more about the kind of person that hates her."
Nice try. Admit you blew it, and then we'll take your other opinions seriously.
Also that there was some type of non-vaginal injury.
Here's the story:
Bryant accuser's injuries 'obvious'
Excerpt:
EAGLE - The alleged victim in the Kobe Bryant sexual-assault case suffered obvious physical injuries that are still apparent three weeks after the incident, a friend told The Denver Post on Monday.
