They can lie about this girl because no one can refute it, Well, I suppose that is one of the prices to pay for CHOSING to remain anonymous even after you have accused a person of a crime that could carry a life sentence. These stories about her could still be refuted... since colorado girl has no trouble leaking out through her accomplices.. I mean friends... that she was 'disgusted' by the Kobe press conference. Since there is a plethora of townspeople coming forward with stories about this girl... I dont see why there aren't plenty available to debunk or refute these stories. The "friend" who went to the OC register about the OD had no trouble trying to spin her original story by saying she was quoted out-of-context, after getting in trouble with her friend no doubt
Anyone can tell any lie they want about her because there's no one to refute it, she's not famous and therefore not watched all the time
Uhhh... no actually she's chosen to be anonymous.. hence she isn't available for refuting... Non-famous people are still afforded the same rights of slander and libel.

You obviously have never been around the hotel industry... It's quite common for someone to do someone a favor before they go home because other staff might be to busy.
But I forgot - according to you she just didn't like it up the butt....

I believe her over him because he proved himself untrustworthy when he committed adultery. And there's the rub. As wrong as it is, adultery is not a crime. This, because he admitted adultery, still does not prove sexual assault.
Yes, Bryant could be guilty of sexual assault. But at this moment, it's totally inconclusive. I think that people who think he's automatically innocent are off the reservation. But so are those who think he is guilty.
There is no way to tell.

I don't think that the victim is always blamed for rape.I agree. In stanger rapes, the victim is almost never blamed. It is the so-called "date rapes' where we often suspect the victim of contributing to her situation.
Let's face it, there is a huge difference between Kobe crawling through her bedroom window with a knife clenched between his teeth, and her voluntarily going to his motel room.
To: Smogger
In small hotels, it is not unusual for employees to bring guest stuff: on and off the clock. I guess you are implying my husband is cheating on me....not likely. Unlike Kobe, my husband is a family man and does not cheat on his family.

Well, I must say that I agree with all of your points to a degree. The fact that he cheated on his wife with a new baby could turn support away from him. He knew from square one that if he was ever caught in such a mess it would impact his career. He chose to do so anyway. It was a decision he and he alone made. I am speaking stricly on the grounds of adultery when I say this. I hope that the girl in question does get a sentence or some kind of legal action taken against her for lying (if indeed she is). I don't condone the ruin of any persons life. For finacial gain or otherwise. And you are absolutely right, she may simply be the victim of bad judgement. Kobe Bryant may be guilty of nothing more than bad judgement as well. I wasn't there. And I dont know either party. I will wait, like you, to have the facts play out in the case of rape.
To: rdb3
Of course, there is no way to tell. But we all have our opinions. My opinion is that he did it. I don't think he will fry for it and it will provide me endless hours of entertainment watching feminists trying to ignore the case.

Actually her mother has come out and said for her friends to be silent and NOT talk to the media at all. Several of her friends have now cancelled all further interviews.

You obviously have never been around the hotel industry... It's quite common for someone to do someone a favor before they go home because other staff might be to busy. Actually, I worked in the hotel industry for several years as Room Service person, and later a Night Auditor. No. You don't goto guests rooms after you have clocked out.

My opinion is that he did it.You are entitled to your opinion. But try as I might, I just can't find the logic behind holding such an opinion at this moment. It escapes me.

You don't to fraternize but you DO to make one last drop before you leave. At least that's been the case for me at the Hilton, Radisson, Wilson World, Holiday Inn and a smaller motel. When things are busy or people can't leave the desk you HELP and your follow employees
To: nyconse
In small hotels, it is not unusual for employees to bring guest stuff: on and off the clock. WTF are you talking about? I worked at hotels both small and large, this one was very large with plenty of people (bellman etc) to provide 24 hour a day service for their rich guests. Hotel employees don't make shit and you don't do anything off the clock. You people are just talking out your ass at this point.

What evidence do you have that it was consensual? So far, the word of a lying adulterer. It's too Clintonian.

.....and were paid thousands of dollars by the Haddon Law Firm operatives to spread false and malicious rumors about the girl. What? Do you think if you repeatedly make the assertion it will become fact?

1. She made the allegationYes, she did. But that's all it is at this point, an allegation.
2. She had DNA evidence
Yes, DNA evidence of what Bryant already admitted. They had sex.
3. There was enough "collateral damage" to file charges
"Collateral damage" that has not been shown because there has yet to be a trial. That "collateral evidence" could be very damning for Bryant. But it could also be specious. There's no way to know until it is shown.
Next?

Well, I suppose that is one of the prices to pay for CHOSING to remain anonymous even after you have accused a person of a crime that could carry a life sentence. She's not anonymous, everyone in the media knows who she is. But she's not followed like a famous person like Bryant is so it's easy to lie about a non-famous person.
These stories about her could still be refuted... since colorado girl has no trouble leaking out through her accomplices.. I mean friends... that she was 'disgusted' by the Kobe press conference.
How do you know that was true?
Since there is a plethora of townspeople coming forward with stories about this girl... I dont see why there aren't plenty available to debunk or refute these stories.
Because she's not surrounded 24/7 like Bryant is. If someone said something about a person here in my town, I couldn't refute it because the odds are low that I would know exactly what someone else here in town does all the time.
The "friend" who went to the OC register about the OD had no trouble trying to spin her original story by saying she was quoted out-of-context, after getting in trouble with her friend no doubt
How do you know? It's amazing how you know exactly everything that's going on behind the scenes with everything.
Uhhh... no actually she's chosen to be anonymous.. hence she isn't available for refuting... Non-famous people are still afforded the same rights of slander and libel.
Like I said she's not anonymous. She's just not surrounded all the time like a person like Bryant.
